Summary: I haven't done any measurements, but subjectively, this stick is very snappy for both reading and writing, even using USB2 which is all I have done so far. It seems much faster than most USB sticks with lots of small files, too - a huge boon since I often have this situation. Retractable connector mechanism feels robust and overall impression of the stick is sturdy. Very pleased. It's clear there are faster USB3 sticks but significantly more expensive.
Summary: Ran fine for 7 months then without apparent reason stopped. My PC reported that one of my usb devices had taken too much power from the outlet and had shut it down. I tried it on other pcs but they all reported that it was no longer useable.
Summary: Knowing that I'll probably be moving to a laptop with USB 3 later this year, but needing a larger USB stick now, I bit the bullet and bought this Lexar, largely because it was cheap but comes from a reputable maker. Cheap, it certainly is. I realised why when I unpacked it. It's downright flimsy. Hard to believe it will last very long in daily use. It's also slow with USB 2 - though, to be fair, it may be faster with USB 3 - I've yet to find out.
Summary: Superb right out of the package. Responded quickly without any difficulties. I ordered two of the 32GB variety, one for me and one for my daughter. Portability a plus. No problems and worth the price. Thank you.
