Slow, but very practical.

Summary: I purchased this 16GB USB flash drive for my work computer to store my files, having experienced a total loss of data after a trip to the IT department resulted in a clean system installation. I have used it heavily on a daily basis for over two years now. It is not a speedy drive, but it is perfect for keeping in a USB drive full-time without much risk of it being pulled out or knocked out accidentally from the computer's USB jack.
Summary: I use this one to load songs and leave it on my card audio USB port. It almost fits flush with people barely noticing it in the daytime. In the night however, the flashing blue light can be a little distracting as it is quite bright. As far as data transfer rate is concerned - this drive is quite slow - so have a little patience while loading a bunch of songs.
Summary: The idea is great - a very small back up drive that continuosly backs up selected folders as their content is modified. It is so small it can be left in place while it keeps your important data preserved - if it worked. After loading it and stepping through the set up it simply would not start. Lexar support instructed me to format it and then re-load the software. It did start now but it failed to back all my selected folder contents when I checked.
Summary: This is the second of this type of drive from Lexar I have owned. The first was only 8GB & I needed more space so I purchased the 16GB one. I have never had any issues with the drives. I keep it plugged into my MacBook Pro at all times as a back up location for all my design files & resources. I would highly recommend this item.
Summary: I use it for my USB enabled car stereo. It's perfect. Fits all my road music, and it's tiny! Barely sticks out from the faceplate. I had a regular USB stick before, broke it off after a week. Works flawlessly. Highly recommended.
Summary: well i like the product size but cannot get files on it... tried to move files to it and wouldnt work kept freezing. so decided to format it, well then it wouldnt even format... so contacted customer support and they had me format it and same problem would just dissapear. so they had me send it back to them. just got the replacement today and guess what... same problem...
Summary: This USB drive is extremely small. If you haven't seen one up close, you'll probably be very surprised at how tiny it is for 16GB (there's even a 32GB version). It's very easy to lose, but it's so small that it fits just bout anywhere. My only complaint is that it can be a little difficult to remove from a USB port because it's a little difficult to get a good grip on it between your fingers.
Summary: I have never had to rely on the backup yet, but it seems to be working good. When the computer turns on, it right away pops up asking for User Name and Password. You can cancel if you do not want it to take a backup, and it will just pop up on the screen the next time you turn on your computer. Speed wise, it seems to be pretty fast and I have a good amount of data backed up each day.
Summary: After using it for a few days, it slows down my MacBook Pro 17" laptop, and it has crashed already once today (as it did yesterday); it draws down my available hard drive space, too. Unfortunately, it's way more trouble than its worth. I'm getting a refund.
Summary: It was great on the plug and play and the other great thing is that I didn't have to take it out. I have had this for just about 4 months and the outer plastic piece is breaking off. I am waiting for it to completely break off. I would not recommend buying this product. I am going to start using a 16 or 32 SD card to store my files on.
