Summary: No brainer. Plug it in and let it automatically back up your data for you. I keep mine permanently plugged into my laptop and feel confident that if I should have a problem, my data is backed up and up to date.
Summary: I purchased this 16GB USB flash drive for my work computer to store my files, having experienced a total loss of data after a trip to the IT department resulted in a clean system installation. I have used it heavily on a daily basis for over two years now.
Summary: I purchased about a dozen of these over the past year and have yet to have an issue with them. I use them mostly in USB 1.1 embedded devices so I don't know how fast they are but they are reliable.
Summary: I use this one to load songs and leave it on my card audio USB port. It almost fits flush with people barely noticing it in the daytime. In the night however, the flashing blue light can be a little distracting as it is quite bright.
Summary: I just read the "bottom 15" reviews of this product. As with many categories of electronics, those who rate "one star" have no clue what they have purchased, cannot read instructions, and/or do not perform any research into what they are purchasing.
Summary: The idea is great - a very small back up drive that continuosly backs up selected folders as their content is modified. It is so small it can be left in place while it keeps your important data preserved - if it worked. After loading it and stepping through the set up it simply would not start.
Summary: This is the second of this type of drive from Lexar I have owned. The first was only 8GB & I needed more space so I purchased the 16GB one. I have never had any issues with the drives. I keep it plugged into my MacBook Pro at all times as a back up location for all my design files & resources.
Summary: I wanted this for the purpose of using ready boost software to speed up my laptop for gaming. When I installed the software the flash drive slowed my previously smooth running computer to a crawl. It took three full minutes for it to open itself.
