Summary: Maybe I just received a bunk item, but the storage display "LCD" stopped working after a few file transfers, and now it will not let me put files on it (say, 4 gig movie .vlc while there is 12 gigs available) stating it's full when clearly it is not.
Summary: Bought the 32GB version and it died shortly after the 2nd use. The display now shows a single (random) strip at the top as white, the rest is black. There's around 4GB of data on the drive, the reading doesn't make any sense.
Summary: Failed after a few back ups. I was so happy to get this item during an Amazon deal. However, after a few uses, it stopped working. Unfortunately my laptop crashed and I only had the drive with encrypted files that I cannot read since the program will not run due to the drive being bad.
Summary: This drive & software are totally frustrating. I think it won't work because I DO NO want to backup online, just on the flash drive. I want to backup onto the flash drive once/week but it's a battle to get it going each time. I hate it.......
Summary: I tried to use the Lexar flash drive to move about 26GB of files between two computers - I had thought the Lexar would be convenient for such tasks. Unfortunately the write time from the computer to the Lexar was estimate to be about 3 hours and 40 minutes.
Summary: The drive has a useless sliding cap design that does not stay in place and while in place does not cover the USB slot. My first back up failed on a new PC system using the installed software that Lexar included.
Summary: The Lexar Echo MX 128GB flash drive was given good reviews when I researched it. However, I only used it for a couple of weeks and maybe placed 15 GB of data on it and it ceased to work. I had already thrown out the packaging, so I e-mailed the company to find a resolution.
