Summary: ***BUYER BEWARE*** This product is pretty, and the specs are great, but it FAILS at its primary job: reliability. After 5 weeks, in which I fell in love, one of mine (pity poor me, I bought 2 32GB and 2 16GB) after LIGHT use, simply self-dismounted off my Mac desktop--and never returned. Dead.
Summary: The first drive just stopped working as I was copying files onto it. Completely lost all the data. Got a replacement from LaCie, but this drive also is wonky. Sometimes it is not recognized by my computer. Have to take it out and put it back in several times. Probably some bad connection.
Summary: Yes. This drive dies after a few months of use. Do not buy. Or at the very least, make sure you have a copy of the documents in other places. I only use it as a transfer drive, but I needed to work on the documents I had saved on it tonight. Now I have to get to the office early. Don't buy.
Summary: I went through two of these in 6 months. It may look cool but is pretty useless especially if you want to store valuable information on the drive. I even sent one back to Lacie but could not get it repaired or retrieve any of the data. DO NOT BUY.
Lost an entire document after using for less than a month!

Summary: I used this for less than a month and it has already failed. Fortunately, I saved two of my documents but I completely lost a third one. SO disappointing. I am grateful that I backed up the other 2 documents - phew!
Summary: I bought the flash drive so that I could easily transfer files between work and home. It was never dropped, abused, subject to water or heat or anything else and yet it failed in under three months of moderate use. I thought the brand would give me some reliability but I was sorely mistaken.
Summary: I ordered 2 of these flash drives. One has already died, and I am expecting the other one to follow suit. I have been using external drives daily for years, I think this is the first one to actually just stop mounting. I could not erase, reformat, repair, nothing! Luckily I had the data backed up.
