Summary: It seems that this product has it's limitations and became something that I could not access after a while. It worked well for quite a while, but then I lost everything on it when I could no longer access it.
Summary: I own 4 different flash drives namely Kingston, HP, Sandisk, and verbatim and this one is pretty close when it comes to transferring and storing files but, it has a bulky design to it and not to0 attractive. If you don't mind looks, this is a cheap buy (there are better deals out there) and is reliable for small sized documents.
Kingston Hi-Speed Data Traveller 2GB USB Flash Memory
GaS Ginsters, Amazon
30 October 2008
Summary: Product is ok. $$$ for flash is dropping fast. Look to pay no more than $5/GB for 1-2 gigs; $4/GB for 4-8 gigs... Make sure it has a High Speed USB connection (i.e. USB 2.0). Make sure you get a secure memory stick if you plan on keeping confidential information or sensitive material. Also try to find the specs at which it reads and writes, this is where this lacks a little.
Summary: Aesthetically, the product has a real cheap feel to it. Being a USB2.0 plug-in I expected faster copying/reading rates. My older Memorex "high speed" jump drive is lightning quick compared to this. Other than speed though, this drive is fine, nothing spectacular, simply to be used as a hard drive backup.
Summary: It's a good product and it's what I bought 2 years ago but, since then, the 4GB model and Kingston 8GB DataTraveler USB flash drive - High Speed USB have been released. It would make more sense to go for the 8GB because you will get 4 times the storage capacity without paying 4 times as much (check the prices). And, of course, it's the convenience factor. However, if all you need is 2GB of storage then, by all means, get this one.
Summary: I expected a little more from this flash drive, given the reputation of Kingston memory and other flash media. The drive is reliable and well built, with no flashy extras included. The drive is not bunde with any security/encryption software, so you must find that on your own (protip: secure your flash drive people!) Read speeds are decent however sequential and random writes are slower than expected, making file transfers and saving sometimes irritating.
Summary: The pendriver works like should be, but the constrution need less plastic or better quality of plastic... if you are going to use this at work heavily you may wan to chose another pendriver. If you are working in a friendly enviroment... this one get the job done.
Summary: Quite simply if you are looking to spend on a mid-range USB flash memory stick which you can quickly pull out from time to time from a computer bag pocket then this is where it is at. This Kingston flash memory stick is fast, holds 2 GB and comes at a very nice price. It is also very small, maybe one of the smallest sticks on the market. However it is delicate and doesn't come with a cap.
