Summary: I have bought over 3 dozen various memory keys for my students. By far, the worst one is this memory key. It cracks in half within a week, and my children lose all their work. Everyone of these that I have given to my students has cracked. Now, the white Kingston Data Traveler with the cap on it and the square ribbon holder is by far the best one. These thumb drives have lasted for over a year now.
Summary: Worked perfect at first, downloaded about 220 pictures from my computer and put them into another computer with no problem. The next time I tried to use it, nothing would recognize the drive and haven't been able to use it. My other (lower Gig) flash drives have been working fine for a long time with no problems, just disappointed with this Kingston. I will stick with SanDisk.
Summary: When I got this product home and tried to insert the drive into my computer's USB slot, the connector would not extend far enough (I have a Dell desktop). Eventually I took the drive out of it's plastic casing entirely and wrapped electrical tape around it so that I could use it. Don't buy this slide type. I have a drive by the same company with a cap that does not slide and it works just fine.
Excerpt: "...physical protection. As we all know Kingston is a trusted brand for all type of memory solutions. But this time I am very unsatisfied with the pen drive model Kingston data traveler 100. I bought this pen drive in July 2007 having 4 GB of storage capacity and 5 years of warranty. After using 6 month the case became loose and the USB case started producing sound but still it was working. After next 15 days the USB was not detected by my computer. ...
Pros: Memory is good but the model is very delicate
