The Kingston DataTraveler 4000 2GB is a flash drive that was unveiled in early February 2011. This FIPS 140-2 Level 2 Certified USB drive supports drive lock down. It comes with enforced complex password. The enforced complex password is set by the user. This flash drive is able to operate with the AutoRun disabled. It can enforce write-protected AutoRun files. It provides users with full Encryption where the data stored is protected by a hardware-based, a 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) in CBC mode and a customizable password. Designed in a tamper proof form factor consisting of coating/seal for physical security, this Kingston USB flash drive is available with a five-year warranty including 24/7 customer support. It measures 77.9mm x 22mm x 12.05mm.

Features

The Kingston DataTraveler 4000 2GB flash drive comes with a range of interesting features for flash drive users. This drive supports up to 18MB/s read and 10MB/s write speeds. It supports USB 2.0 specifications. Even after 10 intrusion attempts and if the encryption key is destroyed, this flash drive has the drive lock down. The password for enforced complex password will consist of three of the four characteristics (lowercase, uppercase, characters and numbers). This password is required to be set up as such to avoid unauthorized access. It is able to operate in temperatures ranging from -32°F to 140°F (0°C to 60°C). It can be used with USB 2.0 compliant and 1.1 compatible interface. It is available in a waterproof and titanium-coated stainless steel casing.
