Summary: So I quite like th size an dshape of this little unit and the fact that it is a metal casing but has anyone ever had one of these fail on them before? I did. About a week ago I inserteded the device into my laptop and the device did not get recognised. I waited a few extra moments - nothing. Within 30 second teh metal casing had become so hot the it was uncomfortable to touch. I immediately withdrew it from the laptop and I could smell a slight burnt odor.
Summary: Bought two of those. They are as big as a USB connector can get and , with 16GB of space can make it easy to move anything but the largest PC Games. One thing I spotted though, the case can get bery hot after long transfers. I filled it with 700MB movies that were on an SD card, the transfer (14.some GB) lasted for 50 minutes and the drive was really hot aftewards. I guess that usually you don`t fill this baby everyday but now you know.
Summary: Metal case is very durable, not cheap plastic, very small size allows stacking multiple ones in narrow slots of laptop simultaneously without them interfering with one another. Large loop allows to hang easily on keychain or hook without binding. Great product.
Summary: In this age of digital hacking and piracy, I've decided (finally!) that I should not leave any sensitive information on my hard drive. I've therefore moved all of that stuff onto a couple of thumb drives, this being one of them. They are kept handy, so I can plug them in and use sensitive files, and then I unplug them once I'm done with the files. With the material physically removed from the CPU, my security is enhanced, and at a very reasonable price.
