Summary: I purchased this to be my "media holder" for my vehicle. Instead of having to always plug my phone or my media player into it, this stands in place of it. I copy what albums I want over to it and BAM it's right there when I need it! No more cords tangling up all over my car. Now I gave it 4 because I can't be sure if it's the drive or the vehicle. There have been times where my cars audio system stopped or didn't recognize the drive was plugged in...so is it the car?
Summary: Bought this to test Linux running from a USB drive. It works well and small footprint prevents it from being damaged when left in laptop USB port as laptop is moved around. It was a little stiff to push in or pull out though. Maybe a small foldable handle or pull string is needed. Other then that it works great. Would have liked a USB 3.0 device but could not find one at reasonable cost.
Summary: Size is just right compared to my older thumb drive that protrudes from my car stereo. Relatively inconspicuous. Writing speed is not my concern as the primary use is for music to be played in my hifi system and car stereos on the go. I haven't used the warranty yet but with 5 years, shows you its reliability and durability. Drawbacks include : easy to lose and a slight difficulty to pry out from the USB port due to its size. Overall, though, a good buy.
Summary: I can't report on the read/write metrics of this drive so I don't know if it's fast, slow, or as I suspect, somewhere in the middle. I use this unit as my go-to flash drive for all the important docs that must travel with me. I'm a web designer/developer and I work on projects from multiple locations.
