Summary: Most of the reviews of this product were very negative. I thought i would try it anyhow. Fortunately, I got into communication with the seller, Fast-N-Friendly, who told me if it didn't work for me, i could return the product for a refund of the purchase price. Perhaps it was foolhardy to take the risk on a product so widely panned, but Fast-N-Friendly won my confidence so I made the plunge.
Excerpt: Tried to download large files containing photographs. The flash drive only downloaded approximately 80% of each file. Disappointed. I will still use it, but not for the purpose that I had intended, i.e., to quickly download larger files.
Summary: for me it was a waste of money. didnt last a weak! kingston change it for a 32gb so i was happy, but again, it last also like one or two weeks. old flash drives wore more reliable than this big new ones...
Summary: Although the price of this product was right, I can now see why. Unless you have the strength of a 3 week old, when you slide the cover closed, it falls apart, and is not easy to put together without breaking the memory board. If you are able to get it to close, the next time you retrieve it from your pocket/backpack/whatever, chances are, the terminal will be exposed--not good. Buy a good flash drive with a snap on cap, not a gimmick.
Summary: I've had much smaller and older flash drives that have worked 1000 times better and faster than this. I want to find one as good as those but larger. This isn't it. When I copy my "My Documents" folder to my other external hard drives and flash drives, it takes around 4-10 minutes. Copying to this unit takes an hour! And it took nearly that long to delete the folder from this unit! What's that about?
Excerpt: I bought this flash drive from the Ideal Home show, where Kingston Technology had a stall because I needed a 1Gb drive at a cheap price. I was in the process of moving PC data between machines and though this would do the job. I loaded up material I wanted to keep and inserted it into the USB slot in the new PC but the machine couldn't recognise that it was even in the slot. I took it into work to the PC guys but even they could not find the data.
