Sent back to Corsair for RMA after 3 months

J. Hathaway, Amazon
  • Summary: I tried everything I know; I attempted Command Prompt (Admin): DISKPART...not recognized. I attempted Disk Management and "No Volume". Finding Corsair's tech support phone number is a HUGE challenge unto itself: 1-888-222-4346 Then the whole RMA process takes forever, with screenshots captures, RMA...

Lasted 2 months then died

hrrmph, Amazon
29 July 2015
  • Summary: Unfortunately, it only lasted 2 months, then became inoperative. All equipment is susceptible to occasional failures, but this one was particularly short-lived. I used about a half dozen Corsair thumbdrives about 10 years ago and they generally gave me a good 2 to 3 years of service, at a minimum.

Awful, slow drive. Please look elsewhere. Do not make the same mistake I did

SK, MD, Amazon
29 July 2015
  • Summary: I can't understand the positive reviews of this drive. Compared to my Kingston 256gb drive, this thing is embarrassingly slow. I took me over 20 hours to transfer 400 GB of data onto this drive using a high end computer with a high end USB 3.0 port.

Unusable

Seth K., Newegg
30 June 2015
  • Summary: Very heavy for a jump drive.
  • Pros: Lots of storage
  • Cons: This product is unusable. The write speeds are embarrassing. It takes 7 minutes to transfer 900MB worth of data? Are you joking. My 256GB Kingston drive would do this in a matter of seconds. I transfer files all of the time and have a $350 paperweight.

Metal casing + size = durable + don't misplace

AnnieF, Amazon
23 June 2015
  • Summary: I agree with the other reviewer that this is a large unit - the dimensions given are 3.9 X 5.5 inches. But I actually appreciate that because I don't carry drives on my keyring so I'm forever misplacing them... Not this one! Also like the metal housing so less worry about damaging it in my bag.
