Summary: I am replacing this with a different Corsair with a sliding cap and 256GB of memory.
Pros: Size and speed
Cons: The drive has been reliable, But it is physically to big I can not plug it into my USB ports in my laptop. I am not sure if this was a contributing factor to my USB port going bad but I have to use a portable hub to use it proper. Also this unit has a removable cap that cap now does not stay on a...
Summary: I have a large number of files that need to be transported when traveling. So far, this has proven quite reliable. There seems to be no end to how much data may be stored in such small devices.
Summary: I tried everything I know; I attempted Command Prompt (Admin): DISKPART...not recognized. I attempted Disk Management and "No Volume". Finding Corsair's tech support phone number is a HUGE challenge unto itself: 1-888-222-4346 Then the whole RMA process takes forever, with screenshots captures, RMA...
Summary: For 512GB in a small package - this is nice. Great for shipping or hand carry. One of the reviews mentioned slow speed. I have not seen this. I have two of these and data throughput has been fast on USB3.
Pros: Speed, storage capacity, size.
Cons: It is a bit wide, so you're taking up a side USB slot on a server. Don't loose the cap. There is no lanyard for the cap. I put a tie wrap through the end to hold the cap in place. This allows for storage of the cap to slide into the loop made by the tie wrap. It feels like a solid piece of alumin...
Awful, slow drive. Please look elsewhere. Do not make the same mistake I did

Summary: I can't understand the positive reviews of this drive. Compared to my Kingston 256gb drive, this thing is embarrassingly slow. I took me over 20 hours to transfer 400 GB of data onto this drive using a high end computer with a high end USB 3.0 port.
