Summary: It's not too bad but it definitely doesn't max out your USB 3 bandwidth. The benefit is that it is quite small and not really noticeable on your keychain. There are probably better ones out there but this one is adequate.
Great design but not as fast as you'd want it to be

Summary: Hi, When you shell out the extra bucks for a USB 3.0 there can only be one reason: SPEED. And while read speeds are good, write speeds leave a lot to be desired; sometimes i feel i'm not getting even USB 2.0 speeds on write. Furthermore, the slim proflie means sometimes i have to apply extra pressure on it to be recognized on some ports (sometimes it fits loose).
USB 3 read speeds, certainly not write speeds it's really slow

Summary: Unless I have a faulty stick. I also haven't used memory sticks for ages, so perhaps they're all this slow and this is normal. Ran it through a drive speed test utility: READ speed averaged 10Mb/s and WRITE speed averaged 80Mb/s Ran a USB2 stick through the same: READ speed averaged 8Mb/s and WRITE speed averaged 30Mb/s So seems read speed is USB3 speed, and write is slow as hell. Well, it was $30-odd, so what did I expect?!
Summary: Although this product works as described, I'm getting write speeds of only around 7MB/second (read speeds much better at 22MB/sec). If you are copying large files to this drive, it takes minutes not seconds... very annoying!
Summary: Positives: FAST, small, rugged. I expected the lanyard to wear away the rubber over time, but after 18 months on my keychain in my pocket, there was absolutely no sign of wear. Negatives: Catastrophic failure after about 18 months of intermittent use, with total loss of all data. It would have earned 5 stars if not for this. Problem with manufacturing? Problem with quality control? Damage from static electricity? Unknown.
Summary: This device is exactly what I was looking for in a Flash unit. It is small, very good capacity, reasonable speed for USB 2.0 and appears rugged. It was recognized by Win 7/64 and VISTA on different machines. It is a bit hard to insert the first few times, but afterwards, no real problem. Highly recommend this unit - understand its limitations - it is USB 2.0, so if speed is a factor go with the USB 3.0 version devices.
