Excellent drive, okay random writes, hohum ergonomics

Summary: I'm very happy with this drive. It's a good performer. It holds multiple boot images and has great read performance. The write performance for large files is excellent too. I just wish the controller was better at small writes. That's a minor criticism however. I like the status LED as well. For my application this is very useful. Now the reason I gave it four stars: This is an issue for all the Survivor series drives.
Summary: I just got this today and the speeds seem alright. I am using USB 2.0 and I have not ran Black Magic speed test on it or anything but it seems to be average or thereabouts with the 20 million other USB 2.0 drives I have lying around. What sets this apart for me is the durability and the capacity.
Summary: The thread issue mentioned above is probably unavoidable, aluminum is always like that and it doesn't really hurt anything, it just doesn't feel as smooth as steel threads typically do.
Pros: Solid construction, rubber bumpers dampen impact if you drop it, USB 3.0, nice tight case seems like it should provide some water resistance, compact and rounded shape is comfortable in your pocket.
Cons: Threads on the case are not the smoothest. Rubber bumpers are soft and feel like they will wear out, though this hasn't happened yet despite being in a pocket full of keys and coins.
Summary: Owned this USB device for approximately 3 months and it has proven thus far to be a great, sturdy USB stick for those needing extra protection of their data at the cost of losing a low profile design.
Summary: I recommend buying a quick-disconnect key ring for this (I paid under $2.50 for mine on Ama zon and it arrived in 2 days). That way you can quickly add it or remove it when you need it with super quickness!
Pros: Works great on USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, haven't tested speed, but I'm sure it'll meet my expectations. Very strong casing with a nice rubber o-ring to prevent internal damage from water and other liquids.
Cons: - A little big, but that's expected considering it's water resistant.
Pros: the design and quality of the drive. faster speeds
Cons: i dont know if my problem is the drive or my pc. i have an asus 3.0 mother board. my read write speed is 33/20 in a 2.0 slot. and when i plug into the 3.0 slot it doesnt read it unless i insert very slow til pc reads it then push in all the way. but a 2.0 drive works just fine in the 3.0 slot??? once i play with it and get it to read my read and write are exactly the same as my 2.0 slot?
