Corsair Survivor 32GB

maximum pc
16 May 2008
  • Excerpt: We previously reviewed the 8GB version of the Survivor and were impressed enough to give it a Kick Ass award, due in part to its ability to survive our extensive series of durability tests unscathed. But although the 8GB Survivor attained our penultimate rating, we did have a few minor quibbles with it.
  • Pros: Indestructible formfactor makes this a go-to device for your next secret mission
  • Cons: Some minor issues have yet to be fixed.

Corsair Survivor 32GB Ultra Rugged USB 2.0 Flash Drive Review

Futurelooks
10 May 2008
  • Summary: There is no doubt in my mind that the Corsair Survivor 32GB Ultra Rugged USB 2.0 Flash Drive is one tough mother. After enduring things that a regular USB drive would have disintegrated in, it’s safe to say that the Corsair Survivor is really a survivor. This machined chunk of ruggedness is not only sturdy, but the quality of the workmanship is superb.

Corsair Survivor 8GB Flash Drive

GideonTech

  • Conclusion: The Corsair Survivor flash drive came with an open source on the fly encryption software called TrueCrypt . This is a great option for business users who are constantly moving important files from machine to machine. However, I did not install TrueCrypt as I am going to use the drive to hold all of my testing utilities and benchmark programs so I will need to have them on a non-secured drive. Here is the properties shot of the drive upon connection to our test PC.
  • Pros: Comes with encryption software, 8GB of storage space, Water proof, Durable case
  • Cons: Slipping rubber grip / anti shock piece.
