Voyager are nice until they stop working within a few months

Marcus Landry, Amazon
22 August 2014
  • Summary: When I first bought this flash drive I had recently just moved up from a standard flash corsair which had just stopped working after two months. Determined to stay with corsair I spent the money for a 64g voyager gt. Initially the gt was a pleasurable experience with read and write speeds within expectations. However, after 6 months I am finally writing a review to inform others that yet again I have had a voyager (gt) die on me.

Another Great Corsair Product

K A Baker, Amazon
1 August 2014
  • Summary: Another great Corsair product. I have used several of these products over the years and never had a failure or glitch with any of them. The transfer speed seems right in-line with advertised specs for this unit. My only gripe with Corsair Flash Voyager products is it can be easy to lose or misplace the rubber cap. I have attached a nylon string to the small bullet end of the cap and fastened the other end to the lanyard loop - problem solved.

breaks quickly.

Jay R. Wren, Amazon
10 July 2014
  • Summary: It broke after just a month or so of use. I will not buy again. By Broke, I mean, inserting it into laptop says, can't read. Using disk utility to re create filesystem fails.

Bad experience

Donald G McGahan, Amazon
3 July 2014
  • Summary: I really wanted to like this stick, but it has repeatedly let me down. I contrast this experience with a stick with half the space a SanDisk Extreme 64 GB USB 3.0. Two different experiences. While the SanDisk Extreme 3.0 is fast, reliable and trouble free, the Corsair is slower and often ends up with 'directory entries beyond end of directory' and corruptions.

Dave, Amazon
1 July 2014
  • Summary: been using for a while now... no problems, quick and the case is strong. i have been plunging it in and out of PC's almost 4 times a day for the past year and have not had a problem or break down. the cap has lost its tight fitting feel but i am not interested in the cap as much as the storage space. very happy with this and would buy again (if a 256 is out and affordable, that is my next step).

Fast, but only sequentially

Bryce, Amazon
19 June 2014
  • Summary: I bought this with the inention of using it as a portable storage device to run virtual machines off of. The random read and write of this device is not fast enough to do that. It took 5 minutes for a windows 7 VM to boot off of it. However, it took less than 2 minutes or so to copy the machine to the drive. So if all you're going to do is use it as a storage device, it's great. Make sure you don't lose the cap though!

Physically Huge! and cheaper design then older versions

Garrett A. Garms, Amazon
7 June 2014
  • Summary: This this is huge!!! I had an older 16gb voyager flash drive it loved, but this 64gb has a cheaply made flash drive with rubber around it. You can pull the flash drive right out or the rubber case, couldn't do that with the old one. It is really fast though.....
