Summary: Bought two of these for my kids, they both failed after just 4 or 5 weeks use. I would have thought it a fluke if one had failed but both of them failing tells me that there is a defect in the production process. Amazon wont RMA so will be sending back to corsair. Please look to purchase another brand. stay away from this one.
Summary: I own the 16GB version of this 3.0 USB Flash Drive for $22. Corsair makes excellent products. They are especially known for their RAM and Cases. Though their flash drives are also great. Flash drives are not intended for long term storage. Rather, they are a convenience component for quick access to temporary storage like movies, pictures, programs, and documents. If you want to backup files for the long term, get an external hard drive.
Summary: I bought it to save programs and files that I use in my university "Study Computer Engineering " and it worked great for a month, then it started to disconnect the flash drive only , the same day did not recognize 3 computers , and when I get my detects the house with only 74KB ! memory , it was impossible to give new format.
Summary: this drive works great. I've been using Corsair products for years and have only good things to say. I've used various sized Corsair flash drives in the past with no problems. My old 8 gig finally bit the dust (after 5 or so years of steady use) so it was time for a new one. I bought the 16 gig version ( $12 on sale) and am using it mostly as my mp3 player. It's loaded with approx 1500 songs. It is recognized immediately when I plug it into my computer.
Summary: I am just sending back my 4th failed USB stick. Each time, when I insert into the USB port, I get a message that the device needs to be formatted, but it cannot be formatted. Data recovery utilities are not successful, and all data is lost (again). The Corsair RMA process is not very quick, even the Advance RMA. Adding Notes to their RMA page or requesting updates generate no response. The replacement ("Factory Refurbished") just shows up in the mail.

Summary: Needed more room for files so I ordered a couple of these flash drives. They arrived fast and worked out of the box. No DOA. Great product, worked great. Unfortunately, one of them died but was under warranty. Contacted the company and did a swap and now I'm back in business. Great job Amazon.
Summary: Was a decent flash drive for the money, however, keep in mind it's not very durable. Kept it clean and dry in my pocket and it only lasted about two weeks before becoming a brick. This might be useful for something to just sit around the house though.
Summary: There's something defective about this modal of Flash Drive. It can't access the contents after a while and says it needs to be formatted every time you plug it in. They got me a replacement and it broke just as fast.
