Not as great as advertised

J. Hill, Amazon
14 January 2012
  • Summary: The one good thing I have to say about this drive is that it's relatively fast at reading/writing. However, it's not even close to the advertised 16Gb of storage space. It's common for that number to be off a little on all storage drives, but this one only has 12.2Gb of space available. Almost 4Gb is NOT a little bit. That's a fourth of the advertised memory that isn't there!

Not Refurbished

RONNIE, TigerDirect.com

  • Summary: Don't buy the refurbished ones. Be careful what you buy. I bought a refurbished one without knowing, and it never worked right out of the box.

Not as good as it seems

O. Esquivel, Amazon
2 December 2008
  • Summary: I have to agree with many of the reviews here. After having tried many different USB flash memories, I have to say this one comes short of what I expected. I can name a few disappointing things: - bulky design - may be water resistant but it easily bent from the adapter and died, so it's not so rugged after all - compared to other flash memories it has SLOW performance, specially when transfering many small files. the slowest I've ever tried.

Mine broke too!

dabs.com
28 February 2007
  • Summary: I forgot that had it plugged into a USB port on my laptop. I turned the laptop on its side and the jack snapped on the drive. It's still attached and the drive works - but for how long?

unreliable USB connection after 3 to 4 months

rahul , Naaptol
6 November 2008
  • Summary: At first I was really happy with this drive. It was fast. There was no problem loading it with all the files I wanted to store and bring back and forth with me from home to work. With 16GB it should have lasted me for years. I had read other reviews where people thought it was a really reliable drive. I have not had that experience. After about 3 or 4 months, it no longer makes a tight and consistent USB connection on either my laptop USB ports or my desktop USB ports.
