its reliable

Joseph D., Newegg
26 April 2015
  • Summary: I bought this for school and always worked for me what I needed it to do. I like the rubber casing because wanted something that was rugged and able to keep clean. It is, Many time between moving from class to class, I'd be rushing and Id just back-up my stuff on this drive and throw it in my...
  • Pros: Rubber casing ,
  • Cons: I would recommend a leash attachment for the cap to be always connected to the drive.

Very fast and would purchase another

Juan B., Newegg
13 March 2015
  • Pros: Blazing fast when i install a OS without the need of slow dvd drives with seek times always having to look for blank discs or ask friends for one. I use this on my dads old dinosaur computer dell optiplex 320 since it wont let me add more than 2 gb of memory unless i remove the video card. Ready ...
  • Cons: Its a very tight fit and very slow i would recommend buying a couple just for OS installations one for win 7,8,10, linux and put in storage when needed down the road.

The product Suck!!

Othello D., Newegg
13 January 2015
  • Pros: The thumb drive is the worst ever. I have had two. I had the 2.0 and the 3.0. This product is not reliable; I will not advise anyone to buy this product. After a year or less than a year, it does not work. You cannot access your data on any computer. Good thing I backup my data on my external HD.
  • Cons: Close to a year, you will not be able to access your data. This is a very very bad product! I will never ever advise anyone to buy this it.

User Review

Christopher W., Newegg
29 November 2014
  • Summary: I'm amazed to see these are still sold - I purchased mine from Newegg back in 2008.
  • Pros: These things can take a real beating with the cap on. I intentionally threw it across the room on multiple occasions and there were never any ill effects. If for any reason you need a ruggedized USB drive, this is definitely the way to go. It lasted longer than most USB drives I have owned.
  • Cons: It's bulky, but any ruggedized product usually is. Mine died after what I believe was upwards of 3 yrs of fairly consistent use, when it started experiencing data corruption. However, in my experience this is typical and completely expected of USB drives under regular use, and I have yet to own a...

Great Reliability at a Reasonable Price

Dean M., Newegg
17 November 2014
  • Summary: This is the third I've purchased. I bought two of these about five years ago, one as a gift. The one I own still works reliably even though it's been sitting in my backpack under books and other objects. I recall leaving this in my pants once or twice during a wash cycle.
  • Pros: -Cheap -Durable -Reliable
  • Cons: -Lint magnet -Bulky for some USB ports

Not as tough as it looks

Adam, Newegg
14 October 2014
  • Pros: - it's been reliable to this point - 8GB is a good size for most needs - never had any data issues
  • Cons: I have to bend the metal USB connector back into place all the time. I thought the thick rubber cap on the metal connector would keep it safe, but it doesn't, at least not in my experience. So far this has not effected the performance of the drive at all, but I could see the thin metal getting wo...
