Summary: I am extremely happy with this flash drive. It is ridiculously fast, reliable and beautiful. ADATA has earned a fine reputation with this hardware, and some of their other flash drives.
Pros: Incredible, high-quality flash drive. Extremely fast USB 3.0 speeds of over 80 MB/s write and 200 MB/s read. Beautiful exterior, sleek black, slim. Seems reliable, owned for over a year with no problems.
Cons: Possible issues with extension mechanism (push in and forward to extend), it seems like it could be broken if not careful.
Summary: I've used 3 other brands of USB drives & none 'cept this ADATA has crapped out on me like this.
Cons: 1st one died w/ in a month. Replacement died 1.5 mos later. Problem same for both:USB became incommunicado during a large file write. After that, drive wasn't recognized by WIN7's file explorer, nor did it appear in Disk Manager. Oddly, it appeared in Device Mgr,, but uninstalling, reinstalling, ...
Summary: This has replaced all other thumb drives for me. I have mine in three partitions: - Bootable Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (4 GB, FAT32) - General, for transferring between OSes (4 GB, FAT32) - Work backups (56 GB, EXT4) The Ubuntu partition has all my must-have apps installed, so I can boot it on any computer...
Pros: Works as expected: mounts quickly, works within the expected performance range, light yet reasonably durable, lots of space. Extra bonus points that it doesn't look like a candy-colored piece of playground equipment; I don't feel embarrassed having it on a lanyard when I go into a meeting.
Cons: None really. Would be nice if it were faster, but we want more speed for everything. Given the nature of the USB3 controllers, the speeds are satisfyingly close to the expected performance range.
Summary: This drive is almost perfect. The design is beautiful, I love having a sliding mechanism rather than a cap, and the speeds are quite good over USB 3.0, especially for this price. It is hard to really review a Flash Drive while only having it for a short period of time, so if I have any problems with...
