Summary: ESXi loads the host OS in RAM when it boots up so it doesn't use the drive except to write configs and to boot from so it's not under a lot of work or doing anything that requires a lot of IO so it fits the bill just fine.
Pros: Used this USB drive as a boot drive for a personal ESXi host and it's worked every time I've had to reboot it so that's all that matters.
Summary: Works like a charm but you will notice how cheaply made it is. I haven't had any issues that other reviewers have ran across, they could have had defective ones. I've been using my USB for different OS installations and file transfers. It would be nice to have an end cap for extra protection.
