Summary: I bought this flash drive because like many others out there, I wanted a durable, metal USB flash drive that could easily hook up to my keychain. What I got was something that blew out on me in 3 weeks. Although the drive looked appealing, my first problems was that writing and reading data on the drive was super slow, way slower than any other flash drives on the market. Also, there was no LED activity indicator light, and I didn't know when the drive was on or not.
Summary: I had this on my keys for about a week before I first tried to use it. It wont mount and doesn't show in Disk Utility. It's not a formatting issue.. It worked fine the first day. I dont even understand how these go bad after 1 week.
Summary: I never really got to get much use from this product. It died before I got accustomed to using it. Just one day, it stopped working. USB logs show that the controller doesn't even think a device is attached. For the time being, I'll associate ADATA with flimsy products. Or at least I will until they change their name... UPDATE: I really like the package.
Summary: Product worked great after original purchase and was very handy due to carabiner style of key chain connection. After 6 months of use the USB shield connector came off and rendered the flash drive unusable for future connection. I was lucky to be able to connect the device to my port and extract the data without the broken connector. The most disappointing aspect was the customer service from ADATA.
Summary: Bought this drive a few months ago. Lost my data on it once spontaneously and luckily I backed up religiously after that because the computer just stopped recognizing a disk was present. It shows a drive letter but refuses to acknowledge there is a disk present. Sucks. I've had other flash drives last years. This one took two months before it tanked.
