Durability and Reliability

Terrence B., Newegg
13 April 2013
  • Summary: This drive was worth every penny and I see it lasting many more years into the future.
  • Pros: -Reliability (owned for 4 years so far - zero problems and used countless times) -Speed (still able to use this even in today's world with faster and better USB drives out) -Quality (This drive has gone through the wash multiple times.. it has been left out in the sun.. it has been under water.. ...

  • Summary: As with most thumb drives, if you want to transfer files over 4Gb, reformat it to NTSF instead of FAT.
  • Pros: I've had this drive for almost 2 years now. It's awesome!! I was forced to use a different drive for a week when I left this at a friends house and the experience was dreadful! This transfers at about 15Mb/s which is wonderful compared to some of the junk out there! Read speads are much faster. L...

Durable Drive

Chastin L., Newegg
9 February 2011
  • Summary: It does what is advertised to do. As long as it stays around $15 with free or cheap shipping it is worth it. I bought this, on sale for $17 with $0.99 shipping. That was about 6 months ago and I still see it as a good buy.
  • Pros: This drive is very durable. I own the 8gb version and the 4gb and both are still alive and kicking. In the past I have had problems with competitors' drives breaking right at the USB connection. This drive comes completely encased in a thick coating of rubber protecting it from electrostatic shoc...
  • Cons: The lid is very easy to misplace and easy to loose. However a hitched lid or slide cover would make it vulnerable to electrostatic shock and expose the connectors to moister. So I will not be cutting off an egg for this fact.

cool beans

Scott b., Newegg
17 November 2010
  • Pros: Sturdy, the case is well designed. Looks cool on my keychain. Write Speeds are as fast as any other flash drive i've had (i lose them often, i've had a few)
  • Cons: of course the cap can get lost if you're not careful. also I once removed the drive from the computer and had the rubber case come half way off of the flash drive. so make sure you grip it tight as you take it off. not really a problem though

I am a happy customer

Robert L., Newegg
1 November 2010
  • Summary: If your computer has a recessed usb this may not fit. The size and color are nice. I have owned other ADATA and have been pleased with the products. For more money I could buy one of the top brands, but ADATA has been good to me.
  • Pros: It is a little bigger than average and it is brightly colored. I found it on a coworker's desk - grrr. I had a tiny flash drive and I was always losing it. The rubber cap and body let it take a fall without braking. The water resistance is nice since I always get my drives wet. The speed is reaso...
  • Cons: It is a little bigger and where I work I have to use laptops with a recessed usb drive and this won't fit. I can't deduct an egg for this since a lot of my coworkers have the same problem with their various brand drives fitting into the laptops.

A-data 32G USB Drive

Mike B., Newegg
17 October 2010
  • Pros: Works fine, reliable and sturdy. Has survived the washing machine (oops...). Has lasted for a year of constant use with no issues. Transfer times seem reasonable, though I've never timed throughput. The rubber cap stays on better than any of the snap-on caps I've had on other drives, which all se...

  • Pros: Its a decent product. Kind of slow write and read speed but besides that its ok I guess.
  • Cons: Water resistant is always nice, just not when it makes the flashdrive super thick.
