  • Pros: Good product, getting about advertised transfer rates.
  • Cons: Plastic isnt the strongest, and would be nice if it came with a strap for the key chain.

Stefan O., Newegg
27 November 2010
  • Summary: Slow write speed is not a deal-breaker for me as read speed is much more important. No issues so far with audio and video playback.

  • Cons: Write speed is slooowwwww...

Fast and well built

Greg K., Newegg
21 September 2009
  • Pros: The slide and click-lock mechanism works well. Nice sturdy slot for a keyring or other carrying device. Speed is great. It measured in at about 31MB/sec using HD Tach and HD Tune. My old 4GB Sony Microvault (2+ years old) ran at only 9MB/sec.
  • Cons: I gave the adata the old squeeze it, twist it, and see how well it's built test. I was able to stick my fingernail between the seam where the two pieces of the body come together. It snaps together. No glue. I can fix that if it falls apart. Well built otherwise.

great speeds and physical features

Adam S., Newegg
24 September 2008
  • Summary: Love A-Data products, they've never let me down yet. I wish it came in black though.
  • Pros: Lightweight, sliding mechanism locks it in the in and out position well. not so wide that it gets in the way of your other ports. Read/Write speeds are fantastic. i've clocked it writing at as fast as 19MB/sec bursts with a 13MB/sec average for large files (like 700MB DivX files) and read speeds ...
  • Cons: Blue light is bright, somewhat annoying but not a deal breaker. Tip" A fine tip black sharpie treatment helped to dull the blindingness of it and you'd never know it had been doctored as such. When the usb port is in the closed/locked position, it does rattle just a little bit inside, this may an...

faster than corsair!

Thomas N., Newegg
13 September 2008
  • Summary: I spent an afternoon testing this against the corsair 16g and the patriot 8g mini, and this one consistently outperformed both of those drives significantly. I used the easily downloadable Flash Memory Toolkit to test the read/write speeds for various file sizes, and this Adata stick averaged around...
  • Pros: -extremely fast reads -lightweight but sturdy construction w/nice chrome trim -unobtrusive company logo -nice matte finish -retractable USB connector is well built, and locks into position, and is long enough to have no problems with connecting to any standard USB port.
  • Cons: -the primary case is thin plastic, and likely wouldn't take too well to being accidentally stepped on (though the chrome trim does a LOT to stabilize it, and protect the edges.
