Perfect for external drives!

Diane R., Staples
  • Summary: Since we work with other peoples' information, it is important to be able to access it to transfer....and it didn't work with non-powered USB hubs. This one works, and has a small footprint!

Tripp Lite High Speed Hub

Linda A., Staples
23 August 2015
  • Summary: It was simple to set up and it's working perfectly. I'm glad I didn't spend a fortune for a hub. My last one didn't work very well and was considerably more costly to purchase.

Solid little hub

Jaime P., Newegg
14 May 2015
  • Summary: This update was written at a month of ownership, I'll update it at a year, if I remember to.
  • Pros: So far, it is working exactly as advertised! I have all my peripherals plugged into this one hub, so swapping laptops is much quicker. The USB ports feel very sturdy, not too tight or loose.
  • Cons: Only con is that the power connector feels a bit flimsy compared to the rest of the hubs construction, but it has yet to take away from performance.

Great hub!

James G., Newegg
29 January 2015
  • Summary: It IS lightweight, so be ready for anything corded you plug into it to have far more heft than the hub. I've managed just fine with pulling the hub forward on my desk enough for the cords to rest on my desk. The hub is basically being supported by the cables that are plugged into it.
  • Pros: I needed a hub to expand the number of ports on my laptop. It's worked great for the few months that I've had it! It's currently got a keyboard, mouse, gamepad, webcam, and Bluetooth adapter plugged into it. Haven't noticed any functional oddities or danger signs, yet. And yes - as other reviewer...
  • Cons: One very small annoyance - I have a Logitech G600 mouse and a Logitech G11 keyboard. Both have LED backlighting. When I turn my system off for the day, the lighting remains on. For me, the hub is within reach, so (after my system is powered down) I simply unplug the adapter from the back of the d...

Good value, no issues.

Tana T., Newegg
19 January 2015
  • Summary: Works great. I have a bunch of junk plugged into it, including a razer deathstalker ultimate keyboard which is pretty demanding, 2 webcams, a wireless keyboard, and usb controllers. No issues, and all devices work as intended. Great buy.
  • Pros: Small, lightweight, good capacity, powered w/ included cable.
  • Cons: maybe too lightweight? Nothing really bad about it.

Wouldn't recommend for heavy charges

Alec C., Newegg
27 December 2014
  • Summary: I bought this in hopes to conveniently charge two cell phones + 4 electronic cigarette batteries nightly (not to hook up to a PC). It does an "OKAY" job for the e-cig batteries but I don't let my phones touch that thing, I'm afraid it will potentially harm the smartphone batteries.
  • Pros: Charges* 7 devices simultaneously
  • Cons: High capacity batteries such as smart phones, tablets etc... take quite a while to charge up. By comparison, my Samsung Note 4 charges from 0 to full in under an hr on it's stock charger, on this hub it takes between 12-24 hours.

Not too bad

RAYMOND H., Newegg
30 September 2014
  • Pros: Does what it's intended to do. Total of 7 USB ports (v2.0). 5 in front / 2 in back. It's powered.
  • Cons: It's light, so gets moved around a lot by the cords. The "foot" for mounting does not allow side mounting.
