Summary: The product is great. I wish it had ten ports. The two ports on the front are somewhat convenient. I would have preferred all seven in the rear. Most desktops have a couple on the front for quickie use. For some reason the red light stays on even if not powered by an outlet. The USB cable must be removed so the light goes off. (This is the reason for only four stars) Repetitive socket use can cause premature USB socket failure.
Summary: I purchased two of these and other than the some what lame stand it came with they both have been working great. I have several external USB hard drives plugged into them and have not noticed any slow down in data transfers than having the drive plugged directly into the PC. These were much smaller than I expected, but that hasn't affected the performance.
Summary: The small size fits perfecty under my printer shelf, next to my power bar. It's small and light, but a couple of balls of duct tape on the base keeps it from sliding around. Since I'm using it for my outboard data drives I can turn the power bar on and off at will. As for quality - time will tell. But it's serving my needs to a tee. And, I have 2 ports on the front for what I may need in the future.
Summary: Great hub, for price you cant go wrong with. Pros are its very heavy duty as in able to handle several powered devices under its own power. Really no cons cept that it kinda hard to place without a tie-wrap. Case designed for upright but ports and stand designed for flat. Works great though!
Summary: I plugged everything into it the day I got it and it works super. I would recommend this product to everyone. It works! Only one drawback and that is it stays on after you shut your computer down. I am having issues with my computer though, so it could be it and not the unit. I really have nothing negative to say. Buy one!
