Short Cable!!!

Steve S., Newegg
2 August 2012
  • Pros: Looks nice
  • Cons: ONE INCH CABLE - You WILL need to buy a USB extension cable for this to be of any use to you at all. Yeah, if I looked close enough to the pictures I may have noticed...but what's the point of a hub if you can't plug it in. It's not even good for laptops as it requires an AC power source.

Great USB hub

Patrick Laptop User, J&R
12 September 2010
  • Excerpt: I use the Iogear GUH274 USB 2.0 MicroHub by Iogear for my Laptop Cooling Fan. Because it has an AC Adapter I don't have to use my Laptop Battery to power the Cooling Fan. It allows me to have and extra USB port on my Laptop.
  • Pros: AC Adapter, Easy To Set Up, Fast, Reliable, Small
  • Cons: None at all

Small, cheap, but unreliable

Anonymous, Newegg
27 January 2006
  • Summary: Kudos to Newegg for a seamless RMA process!
  • Pros: Small size, cheap, USB cord stows away in itself. Has 3 year warranty.
  • Cons: This unit gets VERY HOT, to the point of being uncomfortable to hold after being in use. As a result, mine died in just under one year.
