Works good

Brian F., Newegg
10 August 2012
  • Summary: It's really small, so I have lost it a few times. Also, if you want to use this as a charging station, the provided AC adapter doesn't seem to push enough juice to charge a Blackberry Torch.
  • Pros: Very small, fits in your pocket. Doesn't necessarily need the external power supply if you're using low-power devices.
  • Cons: None so far.

compact but good output.

marky w., Newegg
19 April 2011
  • Summary: am buying two more for my daughter and grand daughter.
  • Pros: very nice size. Put some double sided trim tape on its bottom and stuck it on the front of my box so I now have four ports where I can get to them so I can swap out cameras ipods etc without moving the box out of the desk. Have run (charged) an I-Pod, BBerry phone and a camera all at same time wi...
  • Cons: none noted so far.

The Mac likes it

Tommy W., Newegg
13 April 2011
  • Summary: Macs can be very finicky with USB peripherals & hubs, exhibiting odd behavior with some. I went through two others which the Mac didn't like, then found this one., which works perfectly.
  • Pros: It works with my Mac Mini. The power cable is long compared to some other hubs.
  • Cons: none

Above and Beyond

TCIT T., Newegg
16 February 2011
  • Summary: none
  • Pros: This USB has been doing a great job, and i throw this thing through the ringer. It identifies drives quickly, and the speed is the same as the actual port on the computer. The stainless accents make it really pleasing to look at on your desk.
  • Cons: none

complete garbage

Jeremy R., Newegg
19 January 2011
  • Summary: I have contemplated gathering all 50 of these that my company has ordered and flushing them all down the toilet where they belong.
  • Pros: small, compact, nice shape that makes it easy to throw. Doesn't smell like the piece of feces that it really is.
  • Cons: requires A/C adapter, cannot have more than two devices plugged into it at once or it will short out.

Good while it lasts

Robert A., Newegg
5 November 2010
  • Summary: Wish I had a spare power adapter that would work with this so I could plug it in and tell you for certain whether the AC/DC switching power adapter is the part that's failing, or if it's the Hub, or if it's a combination of the two.
  • Pros: A small inexpensive Hub.
  • Cons: Purchased this Hub in December 2008 and it worked reliably until November 2010. Noticed it was failing when devices attached to this Hub began randomly connecting and disconnecting in Windows XP, and file transfers to or from external USB HD's attached to it would suddenly freeze. Replaced this H...

Worked fine until it didn't

Anthony D., Newegg
19 August 2010
  • Summary: Note that the USB devices plug into the hub on one side, the AC adapter on another, and the device connects to the computer on yet a third side. This makes it impossible to mount this in a way that there won't be wires sprawling visibly.
  • Pros: Did its job with little fuss...for a little while.
  • Cons: Do not use this device with flash memory! This hub worked fine for a bit less than a year. When it died, it did so in a rapid on/off manner, like a short of some sort, destroying the data on the USB drive connected to it and rendering it useless until I hunted down a manufacturer's repair tool. I...
