  • Pros: lots of ports
  • Cons: it is really flaky and disconnects the devices momentarily, really just annoying when talking to someone or playing games.

Slow Uplink

Zack W., Newegg
22 November 2014
  • Summary: It's a nice, cheap little hub but only useful for uni-directional use (i.e. charging your iPad or iPhone).
  • Pros: It's small for the number of ports and two of the ports are fast-charge ports.
  • Cons: It's only USB 2.0. Also, the uplink to the PC doesn't handle both upstream and downstream traffic. If you transfer data from a thumbdrive connected to the hub to a thumbdrive connected to the PC, then the data transfers as expected. If you transfer data between thumbdrives connected to the hub, t...

  • Pros: Small, lots of usb ports. Two of which give more power than a standard port for fast charging. can be used without the power adapter but doesn't support fast charging without it.
  • Cons: None that I have found. I haven't had any issues with it, weather in OSX, Windows 8.1 or Linux

Fried 2 (Two) Surface Pro's

Anonymous, Newegg
18 June 2014
  • Summary: I got two bad hubs from D-Link, one destroyed a tablet another is whacked out. Not touching another D-Link USB product again.
  • Pros: Lots of USB ports.
  • Cons: Ports work sometimes and don't work other times, as many of the other reviewers have stated the thing constantly connects and reconnects devices and it self with nothing plugged into the hub on my desktop PC. I also have a second of these D-Link hubs that I use with a Surface Pro… One night when ...

Does the job it is supposed to..

andrew a., Newegg
27 May 2014
  • Summary: * A little light, so some coiled/kinked cords will lift it off the ground. Not that big of a deal though.
  • Pros: * Sleek design * 2 USB ports for turbo charging stuff while computer is off
  • Cons: * Power block (thing that actually plugs into power outlet) is large and horizontal. Blocks outlets when used on a power strip.

Absolute TRASH

Douglas H., Newegg
24 May 2014
  • Summary: STAY AWAY
  • Pros: None
  • Cons: I use D-link products and love them but this thing is trash and a total disappointment, Just like other reviewers have noted, this hub constantly loses connectivity. My machine keeps rediscovering my android phone every few seconds. and the same goes with any other device I plug into it. Absolute...

The 7 port hub allows me to get all the connections off the back of the computer and under neath the desk where the other Music Interface...

Sometimes flaky ports

Jeff H., Newegg
5 April 2014
  • Summary: This feels like it may be a manufacturing flaw in this device, but it could be a design flaw.
  • Pros: Convenient, compact, lots of ports, usable for charging MP3 player
  • Cons: Loses connections intermittently when used with a MacMini. Have repeatedly had to unplug and replug USB keyboard to get it to recognize. Happens erratically when the Mac goes to sleep or is turned on. Usually removing the USB cable from the hub does the trick, but one recent time I had to restart...
