Summary: Wish newegg would allow a 0 Egg rating... Look elsewhere....
Pros: It works fine for a couple of months but that's it.
Cons: Purchased one ports started dieing in a couple of months. Called belkin for RMA, they sent me a new one. It too died in a couple of months. Just google this hub and you'll see the number of complaints. I finally gave up and got a rosewill hub... which works beautifully.
Summary: It's a shame really, the product was designed well in terms of ergonomics and capacity. too bad, but ruin away from this one.
Pros: Convenient, nice form factor
Cons: Oh, where to start. The lifetime warranty doesn't make up for the fact that they die about every 6 months. Whjo knows what goes on during the failure mode, and what other damge it could do. I'm mailing this one back and trying another brand
Pros: Indication lights for when usb devices are plugged in. Lots of ports.
Cons: I bought 2 of these a few years ago, and I've had them die twice each. They get to hot when stacked, and after a few months they just die. At least there is a lifetime warranty on them, but the shipping costs add up after having to send them back 4 times. Stay away from these.
Summary: My recommendation would be to look at a different manufacturer as my experience with Belkin is DISMAL.
Pros: Compact, stackable.
Cons: Short life span. I've owned 2 of these units and both died - 1 in just over a year and 1 in less than 6 months. I replaced them with the Belkin MyEssentials 7 port USB hubs. Both of them died in less than a year.
Summary: I owned 4 of these hubs,2 older and 2 more recent. 2 have died. They get very hot, especially when stacked ( I quit stacking them). Unreliable power out, despite huge powersupply bricks. Frequent connection issues. One of the newer ones just killed 2 flash drives and smells bad.
Pros: Pros:great form design! Newer ones (3-4 mo) leds only light on active ports not all.
Cons: Cons:Unreliable/overheating,has killed other devices,if you stack more than 2 blocks access to top ports
