Does what it says it will do, but some improvements could be made.

lucyssky, Ebay
8 November 2013
  • Summary: I purchased this item to reduce the power load on my laptop computer as I often have an external keyboard, mouse, webcam and external hard drive plugged in at the same time. The hub functions well and is super easy to set up, any required drivers install automatically in seconds and it has been...

Excellent Product

eephinity, Ebay
8 November 2013
  • Summary: Just what I was looking for. Doesn't take up much space on my desk and work exactly how it's supposed to. This is a perfect fit for my laptop as I use the back usb ports for my keyboard and mouse to keep the wires out of the way while using the front ports for anything else (flash drives, external...

  • Summary: Solved an annoying issue ... my ThinkPad and the docking station have plenty or USB port ... but the result is a tangle of wires ... this comes with a long cord to connect it to the PC, I have it tucked away with all the other odds and ends and power supplies for peripherals, with only two wires to...

  • Summary: After extensive research, I'm proud to say this usb hub works with Windows 7 Professional, both 32 & 64-bit application. Small and compact and takes up minimal storage area. Way to go Belkin!

User Review

Devin S., Newegg
6 December 2012
  • Pros: Cheap, I guess?
  • Cons: Randomly disconnects one or more of the three hard drives I have plugged into it. Sometimes by moving it, sometimes by not moving it.

bad hub

Andrew L., Newegg
30 April 2012
  • Pros: small and good looking
  • Cons: After a month some of the ports stopped working with certain devices (usb mice but not flash drives). Not it's functionally a 2 port hub.

Supports Nothing

Sara C., Newegg
7 January 2011
  • Summary: Why do they even make this? It serves no real function. I'm incredibly disappointed, and have managed to wait too long to bother returning it.
  • Pros: Cute - sounded like it would work.
  • Cons: I only wanted to use it for maybe 3 devices. It will occasionally support either my phone, or a usb drive, or my mouse. Never more than one at a time, and it will rarely work with even just 1 device plugged in.

Nobody Breathe!

Don J., Newegg
7 December 2010
  • Summary: I purchased this item from a local store in Houston and do not remember exactly why I chose this over other products. I don't mean that in a bad way, I'm just not sure if my decision was based on cost, employee recommendation, roll of the dice, etc.
  • Pros: I can't think of any
  • Cons: Look at it wrong and it disconnects. It is impossible to plug anything in or unplug any other device from the hub without everything disconnecting.

Meh....

Jonathan J., Newegg
6 September 2010
  • Pros: Looks nice, lots of ports and options. Very plug and play.
  • Cons: Connections are all very loose, especially the power and main USB cable you run from the unit to your computer. If I plug something in and bump the unit the wrong way, it will randomly turn off and everything connected will disconnect from your computer for a few seconds. Also, it does not seem t...
