Summary: Does the job that I want it for. The only problem that I have encountered is the insertion of USB connectors into the ports provided. It takes more pressure and time with alignment than other USB Hubs that I have used. For the price of this one it should be easier. Maybe tolerances are tighter for USB 3.0 hubs than 2.0.
Summary: I bought this at walmart.com and when I received it and plugged in my wireless mouse to the hub to make sure it all works fine, the USB plug from the mouse keeps sticking to the hub attachment and is very "rough"when going in and out of the USB plug. It does not attach smoothly like my USB port on my computer. A definite return.
Summary: Save your money and buy a USB 3.0 hub from ANYONE but Aluratek.
Pros: I purchased this piece of garbage to make use of my two USB 3.0 external drives. Initially, the hub worked as advertised. A couple of days in, it would stop being able to access the drive. Now, about a month later, it will only communicate at USB 2.0 speeds and will not recognize ANY USB 3.0 device. This is one large piece of garbage and you should avoid it at all costs. I will be purchasing a Rosewill hub shortly.
Cons: This piece of garbage is useless for anything but a paperweight. If you want USB 2.0 speeds and accessability, this brick will work, but it is like 5 times more expensive than other 2.0 hubs. STAY AWAY! Aluratek should be ashamed of themselves for marketing this brick. Aluratek also has nonexistent customer/technical support. Don't bother trying to contact them. Only rated one egg because I am not able to assign ZERO eggs.
Cons: This USB 3.0 hub does not work. Connected it to USB 3.0 connection on motherboard; other USB 3.0 devices work on same port. Had to installed Roswel USB 3.0 PCI card to get additional USB 3.0 ports and it worked prefectly.
