Summary: installed and ran great at first. After a few days did not respond at all.I tried installing newer drivers but it kept hesitating so i tried to install all over again.I had problems trying to install it again but after quite a few times it did finally install with original drivers again and has been running very well again.I would recommend this product but it could have a few bugs but is worth the effort.
Summary: My HP laptop has Windows Vista Businnes, Core2Duo and 2GB in RAM, no special graphic card. This is one of the all USB PVRs that announce to work with it, and I didn't have problems to install it and it works fine. Vista downloaded the drivers automatictly. It has a litle instantly delay when changing source or channel, but it is normal for this kind of product, I think. The quality of the playing is excellent.
Summary: Works wonderfully! Very easy to install and use. No choppiness, picture quality is awesome! And remote works across the room! Also own an ATI TV tuner card (internal), drivers sucked, remote was even worse.
Excerpt: This isn’t a technical flaw in the PVR but it is an issue that I did not think about when I bought it. If I wanted to record a TV show during the day, I would have to leave my laptop on for ten hours which is just not an option for me. Overall, the Hauppauge WInTV-PVR USB2 is an affordable alternative to Tivo and satisfies my basic recordings needs but I would not recommend it if you can afford Tivo.
