Usually does what it is supposed to. But still stuck in the 'rabbit ear' era

Summary: I have had the Hauppauge WinTV PVR 150 for almost 4 months now. While this works more or less as advertised, it is somewhat clunky in the software department. It scans for antenna channels, not the plugged in cable box, the included channel management software doesn't really work there. I have run into problems with it setting itself to a 'zoom' view that I can't always release. The remote and my cable box don't always get along, at best having long delays.
Good picture, has potential; just got a bad unit, maybe?

Summary: I don't wish to disparage Hauppage lightly, because I love the concept--recording TV on the PC! And, Hauppage definitely has a good idea and a decent implementation. I am also in awe of the many positive reviews I have read. I did watch TV (sdtv is the only possible reception with this unit; not hdtv) and can say the picture and tuner worked OK. I just got a bad unit, perhaps. The remote control never worked on my fully updated Windows 2000 PC.
Summary: I bought this because my ATI all in wonder card had issues when I first installed MCE onto my media PC. The first thing I noticed was the software was easy to use and easy to set up. SO why do I say 3 stars? The remote is awful. It is easily the worst remote I have ever tried to use and it doesn't work half the time. I downloaded the newest drivers for ATI and the All-in-Wonder is working well now. So now the WinTV is used for duel tuner setup now.
