Excerpt: I'm using this with a Windows 8.1 desktop and XBMC. It took a little configuration but that was primarily getting software to work with XBMC. Just using it with analog cable here in this remote part of Alaska but it has allowed me to consolidate one more piece of equipment! Easy to install and easy to operate.
Pros: Easy To Install, Easy To Use, Reliable Performance
Summary: I built a HTPC with two Hauppauge tuner cards and I am more than happy with the result. Easy to integrate into Windows 7 Ultimate's Media Center and always only my shows at the time I want to watch them! What I like best: I got rid of my local cable provider (Comcast) and put up a digital antenna in my attic to receive the networks in digital HD quality FOR FREE.
Summary: Installs easily, works as advertised. Very good picture quality compared to my previous turner card in my old XP system. Only negative is the cost, but it does have dual tuners, a feature few others have.
Summary: Instaled the Hauppauge HVR2250 in minutes. It was easy to set up and run the install disc. Everything worked great the first time through. No problems. I've been recording my VHS tape movie collection converting to digital to stream. Very good quality pictures.
