Summary: Super little satellite TV card. I'm using mine with Windows 7 64bit drivers from the Compro website.
I do not use the DTV4 software, but am using Windows Media Center, which is doing a very good job. BBC HD is received and recorded very well.
I also use the built in Media server with Windows 7 (Media Player 12) to stream any recorded material (HD also) to my PS3 and watch what I have recorded on my TV.
Conclusion: Very surprised to find that the picture quality was very good in general and brilliant for the price. I have used various PC TV solutions over the years and didn't think I would get this image quality for less that £100 but it looks as though I did. Fast moving images (i.e. scrolling titles after programs), are blurred but that may also be due to my monitors. The image quality is far superior to Video but not quite so good as DVD.
Conclusion: Card or software will not receive certain freesat channels - CBS Action to name one. Recordings often do not record file 0 bytes is all you have. Not very good - Compro online support a waste of time - wish I had purchased a product that works properly (Rating -1)
Summary: Ordered yesterday. Got it and installed today. Windows 7 recognised and installed drivers automatically. Fired up Media Center which identified the Freesat channels, downloaded the guide. Installed GimmeITV HD. Picture quality excellent (that is on a signal quality with only 6 bars out of 10.
All flawless except for one gripe: the satelite inputs at the back of the card are too high and a bit too wide, making fitting of the card very tight.
Conclusion: This card is great stuff. The software that comes with it is a bit poor, but if you use Windows Media Centre to scan for channels...it''s a great card! At the price, you really can''t complain! Freesat on your PC for £23.99...I''ll have some of that!!!
