Summary: I wanted something to take my ps3 gameplay and record it in HD cheaper than the Elgato and others run. I'm a YouTuber you see, but a very small one. Almost unnoticed even. You can see where I didn't want to make a 180$ investment on something that may never take off. Anyway, I was on the verge of returning it when the thing wouldn't record my games in anything but a 4:3 ratio, 480p definition recording.
Summary: Well I ordered this product early March of this year, since I received it I have had a good time recording my favorite games in such high definition, sadly though I wouldn't rely to heavily on the USB portion of it since it will die out at some point. I had to experience this sadly and now I am trying to get a new capture device. Overall this is a good thing to spend money on it's just the USB part that I have the most problems with.

Was concerned with previous reviews, but gave it a try

Summary: First off, I've only had this device set up for a day, so if anything changes I will update my review. I have to say so far I am impressed with this product. I had been looking around for a device that would allow me to record video and gameplay footage. I looked at many different options over the course of a week before I decided to buy this one. Some previous reviews that I read talked about different things such as display issues as well as other things.
Summary: I brought this for my son's birthday. He was excited to record video from his XBOX game play. We received it, unpackaged it and plugged it in. Real easy! Got the recording going with great results. BUT..... BUT through all the reviews that I read, no one talked about the INABILITY TO RECORD AUDIO FROM A HEADSET. My son wanted to talk through the video using his headset. This would bring personality and style to the gameplay. Afterall, who wants to watch just gameplay.
Best, and perhaps only?, standalone HD capture device

Summary: I purchased this a couple of months ago, and have recorded hundreds of hours of gaming video using both my Wii U and PS3. It will not be high quality HD, but the image is completely acceptable. In fact, you can play with your settings (brightness, resolution output, etc) on your console so that your image quality will be optimal. The real kicker to this device is the fact that you can just connect a hard drive or memory stick into it to record.
Summary: The unit works, fine and not alot of signal degrade, but I wish the menu screen was a little bit more snappy. Everything seems to take a while. All and all I like my purchase for video capture and can easily work with the files on the PC, but its just not outstanding.
Summary: The device performs well. It records in 1080i and 1080P after firmware updates. Installing an internal HDD is easy. The user interface is not for the faint of heart it is cranks and the whole thing locks up if you get in the wrong places. Coping your files off for upload or use is not a joyous event. For the money however its flaws can be overlooked.
