Summary: There is really an issue with this and maybe all usb tuners. On OTA HDTV you need a very good computer to view and or record live tv. This device does work well on a very new computer running windows 7. Simply install driver and use Windows media center for the rest. However, one may be lead to believe that one can use a 4 year old laptop and even Linux with this. You most likely can not. Asus offers a basic applicatin for xp users.
Summary: With rebate, this was extremely inexpensive. It still works just as well as my PCI and PCIe tuners. I don't use the TV enhance program; there is no need as Windows 7 media center works perfect with this. I tuned both ATSC and QAM channels with no problem. I like the green signal quality LED. It helps when trying to aim the antenna. If you are thinking to use the included TV viewer (Enhance), deduct two stars. GB-PVR is free and better than it.
Pros: Easy To Install, Easy To Use, Quality Output
Summary: This tuner works great and I really like it but I probably would have tried to find one with a remote. I haven't needed a remote for it yet but I suppose at some point it may come in handy. Otherwise it is a good tuner and does what it says it can.
Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Easy to Use, Portable
Summary: Works OK with Windows 7 Ult 64 bits on C2Q computer. Needs good computer, minimum dual core. Cannot work with WMC. Software so so, just use drivers and cinema enhance. Antenna looks like a toy. Only picks up 7 nearby stations. Good picture quality for really close ones (<10 miles?). QAM works, scan takes an hour. My Eztv306 only works with 32 bits but hardware peformance similar. Software TotalMedia better than Cyberlink. But both cannot compare with my Samsung TV.
