Summary: Bought it, with some cable splicing and a quick look at a google plus post, you can turn this unit to make any HDMI 1080p compatable device wireless, including an oculus rift (you just need a high power dc source (I used a Hypermac because I had it lying around)
Summary: The device only works for LG TVs that are "Wireless Ready" (note, not all 2010 and later models are wireless ready) I thought all 2010 or later would work, but they don't, and mine isn't compatible. The main problem with a non-compatible TV is that there is now power supply for the wireless dongle, and you have no way to control the device. I only needed one input, so no control wasn't an issue. I ended up using a dell laptop power supply that i rigged to fit the dongle.
Summary: This unit only works with specific LG models because it has a proprietary power plug connection that is only available on very limited LG models. I returned the unit for a partial refund. If it had worked, it would have been a fantastic value.
Summary: The item arrived in a very beat up manufacturers box. The internal components were fine however. This item does not work with my 2010 LG 47" LCD TV. It is only designed to work with certain models with a special power plug for the reciever unit. Beware of compatability issues, if it works with your TV it's a deal, if not it's a useless brick.
Summary: HD transmission without any problems, no extra remote to add to my collection. Wall installation with just the power plug to worry about, gives a clean professional look. Not listed, but works with my 42LV5500, only disappointing drawback is, that it will not work with 3d TV.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Summary: Works as advertised. I have had no problem with signal strength or dongle. The box is only 4 feet from the LG TV. My minor quibble, the unit makes a very faint sound like crickets chirping when it is turned soft off. If it is turned hard off by touch sensor on the front panel the sound stops. Wouldn't be a big problem except its in our bedroom so I can't turn it off by remote unless I want to hear the crickets chirp all night.
