The PL-990 features full automatic operation which plays CDs automatically. It is designed with aluminum and plastic in black color finish. It is built with a low-mass straight tone arm that is highly sensitive and resistant to resonance which track records better. In addition, it is built with a precision DC servo motor that features smoother and accurate platter rotation. It also provides a universal-type cartridge connector. It also includes a Phono EQ. It measures 420 x 100 x 342 mm (W X H x D) in dimensions and weighs 2.65 kg. A 1-year limited parts and labor warranty is also provided.

Loud humming noise

For some unknown reason I started getting a loud humming noise when I turn on the turntable connected to the amplifier. The noise possibly started when I pushed back the stylus rather roughly but of this I am not quite sure. When I touch the tonearm the noise seems to alter slightly. The noise remains also when I remove the stylus.
