Excerpt: This was my second Turntable, hence purposely selected the portable one. Works beautifully as advertised. Perfect size to store with 12"(LPs).Slightly overpriced. I've rated it with four stars, i.e.one star is less for 1)It does not have built-in stereo speakers & 2)It does not stop automatically at end of play.
Pros: Dust Cover, Easy To Use, Nice Portable, Professional Features
Excerpt: This is not for your home theater. The key word here is portable, and the PT01 is very very light, easy to carry, and works like a charm in tight conditions. I use it to preview records in tiny little nooks of West Africa, so this was perfect. Batteries last a long time, music quality is good, not great, but more than sufficient for my needs. As long as that is what you're shopping for, you won't be disappointed.
Pros: Consistent, Easy To Use, Portable, Versatile
Excerpt: One of my greatest mistakes that I made recently is to purchase NUMARK PT01 item. I have few hundred of LP, EP and SP records so that I really wanted to convert into digital files for all of them and pt01 was so fascinating for me. Upon purchasing, I realized that turntable revolution speed is completely inconsistent especially for 33 rpm LP. I tried to switch with a couple of electric power however the problem does not resolved.
Excerpt: What I needed was a cheap turntable to spot check records at record shows. This fit the bill perfectly. It's not a great unit and shouldn't be used for archiving vinyl to CD. What it does well is give you a cheap player with average sound for checking out the condition of records and what they sound like, if you don't know the band/artist. Would also be good for children. Not recommended for any serious, quality listening, just for casual use.
Pros: Battery operated, Consistent, Easy To Use, Size, Versatile, Weight
Excerpt: Unfortunately the unit I received has the same problems others reported, with the playback speed varying as you're playing a record. There is a +/- knob but it doesn't fix the variable speed issue. Since this was intended to be used to archive old albums to mp3 this renders it useless, and I am in the process of returning this item in favor of a more robust player.
Excerpt: I've had this turntable for eighteen months with maybe 30-40 hours of use. It has very good sound using headphones. The speaker without the headphones has low volume and tinny sound. It can be battery-operated but mine developed feedback problems after ten hours of use and can't be used that way anymore. The stylus is sapphire so it's life is far shorter than a diamond needle. The replacement is 40.00, enough to better buy a new turntable.
Excerpt: I got this turntable for my dad as a xmas gift. We opened it up as soon as we received it. [...]As for the turntable, very easy to use and the sound is very good with the built in speaker. I got really excited about this product and will likely get one for myself in the near future.I would highly recommend it.
