Summary: The turn-table was just as advertised, the simplest of installations, instructions easy to read, set up just as easy. The unit performed well or as expected. It was the high cost to overall value of the unit that prevents any higher rating.
Pros: It works as advertised, no problems with the unit, super easy set-up
Cons: The overall cost to value lacking greatly, if it were priced several hundreds less it would be worth the money
Summary: I highly regard Marantz products going back to the 60's. That is the reason I purchased this Marantz product. I am completely satisfied with it. It is connected to a Marantz NR 1403 AV Receiver. I am happy with this combination.
Summary: Had a Yamaha CR-820 and Yamaha turntable system. Just replaced the CR-820 with a R-S300 receiver and this Marantz turntable. I think I liked the Yamaha turntable more because I could adjust the rpm. There was a balance beam that reflected when the turntable was rotating at the correct speed.
Summary: This turn table is awesome, easy to set up, and it came with a decent cartridge, the sound of my old vinyl records was fantastic. The staff at Crutchfield was able to help me with my decision. Highly recommend this to anyone who has old vinyl's that they want to keep and play.
Pros: Easy set up, high quality sound, and the turn table comes with a stylus cartridge.
Summary: I received my new turntable in only two days. It was packed with care box in box.I was able to set it up in very little time about 10 minutes, just connect the ground wire, place platter on, phono lines in, plug in wall and enjoy! Sound is awesome, midrange and highs are stunning.
