Summary: I purchased this unit as a gift, but I set it up and checked it out before wrapping. I found it performed admirably both with music and a Stereo Review test record. I was quite impressed at how low the rumble was.
Pros: The built-in preamp permits the use of longer cables when the truntable cannot be close to your amp. The equalization seemed good.
Cons: The output level of the preamp is lower than expected, but most amps probably have enough gain to still deliver full power.
Summary: As far as turntables go, the DP-300F is a fantastic value. Quality components, and a durable construction make this a go-to choice whenever I'm suggesting/purchasing a turntable for a friend, family member, or place of business.
Pros: Solid construction Great out-of-box cartridge Easily assembled and calibrated Quality producer
Summary: First let me say I have two systems, and this one is with a Marantz stereo receiver, Monitor Audio Pedestal Speakers, Vincent cartridge preamp, Klipsch subwoofer, Grado Prestige Green Cartridge, 16 gauge micro strand cables (about $3000 system).
Pros: Auto/semi-auto, excellent construction, top notch arm which is sold on some sites with a $600 cartridge, quiet motor, new belts are easy to buy from places like LPGear and others
Cons: Sorry cartridge from manufacturer and the preamp is cheap at best. You need a good cartridge and preamp (no more than $200) to maximize your music
Summary: I was in the market for a turntable and wanted a fully automatic as my tremors would prove disastrous for both a tone arm and record if I had to play them manually. This Denon is a smooth, quiet, nice looking turntable and is easy to set up and I even installed a cartridge upgrade myself with a...
Summary: The DP 300F was very easy to set up. Please ensure that the resting surface for the turntable is level in all directions. The overall sound is great and the silence in between tracks far surpasses my old Garrard. The automatic features on this device move the tone arm very smoothly.
Pros: see above
Cons: The Start button makes a relatively loud click (yet the Stop button makes no noise). What's up with that?
Summary: Easy set up. Suggested settings worked for me. Made very minor adjustments for tracking and weight after a few test runs. LP's had been boxed since the advent of CD's and are not in the best of condition. They seem to sound better after a couple of plays.
Pros: Easy assembly, suggested settings were very good.
Summary: I purchased this turntable to go with the Denon D-M39s ( Mini Shelf System) And the whole setup is just perfect. This is a quality and well built Turntable I am sure I will get many years of use from it.
