Denon DP-300F

Moscuba, Crutchfield
26 February 2014
  • Summary: Very nice table, nice tonearm and very nice looking. I gave it a five-star rating for price / performance.
  • Pros: I wanted an automatic (at least auto-lift) because I tend to walk away and forget. Very good TT for that category. Easy set-up.
  • Cons: None so far. It doesn't have speed control but I have never needed that.

Great Turntable

MKB, Crutchfield
26 February 2014
  • Summary: Great turntable for the price. This the second one I've purchased. Got this one for my daughter, after hearing mine she now likes listening to vinyl.
  • Pros: Easy to set up, easy to use and sounds great. It even sounds better with a cartridge upgrade.
  • Cons: None to speak of.

Good buy

VT Dad, Crutchfield
26 February 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this unit as a gift, but I set it up and checked it out before wrapping. I found it performed admirably both with music and a Stereo Review test record. I was quite impressed at how low the rumble was.
  • Pros: The built-in preamp permits the use of longer cables when the truntable cannot be close to your amp. The equalization seemed good.
  • Cons: The output level of the preamp is lower than expected, but most amps probably have enough gain to still deliver full power.

The Denon DP-300F Turntable

BryantM, Crutchfield
26 February 2014
  • Summary: I shopped other less expensive turntables before deciding on the Denon DP-300F. I feel that it is definitely a step up from some of the entry level turntables which cost only slightly less.
  • Pros: Fully automatic operation. Well made and stylish. Simplicity of setup and operation. Easily replaceable cartridges & easy to upgrade. Heavy enough to sit solidly and resist cabinet vibrations.
  • Cons: As stated above, the instruction manual should note the need to adjust the tone arm lift mechanism travel height.

Nice turntable

mick, Crutchfield
26 February 2014
  • Summary: I was in the market for a turntable and wanted a fully automatic as my tremors would prove disastrous for both a tone arm and record if I had to play them manually. This Denon is a smooth, quiet, nice looking turntable and is easy to set up and I even installed a cartridge upgrade myself with a...
  • Pros: Everything.
  • Cons: Perhaps a speed control with strobe?

Good turntable

Tanqueray Ed, Crutchfield
26 February 2014
  • Summary: Easy set up. Suggested settings worked for me. Made very minor adjustments for tracking and weight after a few test runs. LP's had been boxed since the advent of CD's and are not in the best of condition. They seem to sound better after a couple of plays.
  • Pros: Easy assembly, suggested settings were very good.
  • Cons: None worth mentioning.

DP-300F Great Turntable

GaryM, Crutchfield
11 January 2014
  • Summary: Got some advice from Crutchfield's Dean and picked out the DP-300F. Works great. Out of the box, it took about 45min to set up. The old vinyl collection sounds good again. Definitely happy with this turntable.
  • Pros: Decent price. Great for the average record enthusiast.
  • Cons: Dust cover is a little iffy, but it's ok for normal use.
