Excerpt: I am a professional musician, I hadn't planned on actually listening to my LPs when I purchased this turntable, I only wanted a quality turntable to allow me to transfer my old LPs to disc. I still cannot believe my ears when playing my 20 year old LPs on this turntable. For small group jazz, the sound is better than the CDs I have of the same material.
Summary: I added an audiotechnica stylus for better sound. I would prefer plug in cables to built in but turns out LPs sound great, depending on the quality of pressing of course. At first I thought this would be too lightweight for Opera recordings, but all is well. After several years without first rate sound, I bought the 100th anniversay Denon amp and this turntable. I now hear why LPs sound better than CDs.
Excerpt: Elegant design, easy to set up, brilliant sound. A quality turntable by a quality company. Fully automatic means not having to worry about the platter continuously spinning and the needle being damaged at the end of record. At the higher end of budget turntables but worth every penny. Thank you Vanns!
Turntable offers very good performance for the price

Excerpt: The Denon DP300F offers very good performance for the price. The automatic operation is smooth, quiet, and dependable. I am using this turntable to convert a large collection of vinyl LP records to MP3 files. Although there is no strobe light to monitor turntable rotational speed, I know from my recording software track timing that the actual speed is very accurate.
Summary: I wanted something to listen to on a regular basis, not to use just once to make MP3 files, so it was important to me that my turntable be high quality. I bought this last fall after doing quite a bit of research. I don't consider myself an audiophile, but I love good music and I mostly listen to the newly reissued jazz 180grm vinly on my Denon turntable and for the life of me I can't understand the reviews that say the needle isn't worth much.
Pros: Beautiful, Consistent, Easy To Use, Excellent Sound
Summary: This unit has a great build quality to it, provides a flexible tonearm that can be adjusted, and provides an easy disconnect for the head shell. Plinth is sturdy and mutes vibrations well. Unit is easy to assemble, use, and upgrade. The Denon cartridge and stylus are mediocre, and you may want to upgrade the feet as well. They're a basic rubber footing. I would have liked to have seen a more solid base to dampen vibration.
