Summary: Excellent turntable for the price! The cartridge is less than spectacular but at this price who am to quibble. I have already purchased a better cartridge and installed it and the sound quality is much improved. I really like the full-auto function. My other turntable has an $800 cartridge. Yes, the MusicHall sounds better but at 4x the cost.
Summary: Great buy overall. My only suggestion would be that they recommend bundling this with an anti static gun (or other solution). I was a newbie to vinyl players and wasn't aware that the pops and clicks could be somewhat taken away with some anti-static solution. I would recommend selling these at cost for add-on purchases. This way first time LP player customers would be ready to go with this out of the box.
Summary: Fine turntable, good sound and matches well with my current system. It's only weakness lies with the cartridge that comes with the package and the fact that the cables are hard wired and I can't use cables of my own choice.
Summary: I'm not a techie, but love my old albums and just wanted to be able to hear them again. This turntable was very easy to set up, no problems. Sound quality is very good. Lots of people got new stylus's for it but I can hear every scratch and squeak on my old albums that I played for thousands of hours so I am happy! I love the automatic arm feature.
Summary: Good looking piece of equipment. Easy set-up. That being said, a stylus force gauge is a must. The buttons and cue arm have a smooth feel and work well. I replaced the stock cartridge with an Oyster Black Pearl and got the warmer sound I was after. The auto feature works well, but I usually use the cue arm so I can clean the LP. It's nice to have the option. I only gave it a 4 star, because I know there are better turntables out there.
Pros: Easy set-up. Good looking. Easy to operate. Works great.
Cons: I'm not sure if this a "con", but the stock cartridge is a bit focused toward the high end for me. Depends on what works for you.
Summary: Great Turntable at a great price. However, the great price is probably due to a sub standard cartridge. If you really want to experience high fidelity you will need to upgrade the cartridge. I recommend the Shure M97xE High Performance Magnetic Phono Cartridge you will not be disappointed!
Summary: I`m not going to sit here and slam it and call it cheap (cause it`s not unless you`re rich )or entry level. It`s just as good as the others in my opinion plus it`s fully automatic which sold me on it. All you need with this is a top notch cartridge, good audio system to play it through and some records. Great sound, tracks well from what I`ve noticed. It`s not by any means cheap like I`ve been reading.
Pros: Fully automatic, built in preamp, great audio quality
Cons: None really except for the generic cartridge ,no clamp for tone arm rest and the lack of a holder for the 45rpm adapter
