Summary: This is my only record player, so it gets a fair amount of use. It has an attractive look to it, but I was surprised at just how small it is. Part of the LP sticks out when you close the cover, which I think is a disadvantage. All it needs to be is an inch or two longer and wider and this wouldn't be a problem. Also, since the tone arm is plastic, the needle tends to skip more than if the arm were constructed of metal. The sound is adequate for my tastes, but not great.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Assemble, Easy To Move, Easy to Wire, Holds All Components
Cons: Flimsy Tone Arm, Marginal Sound Quality, Small Capacity
Summary: I was excited to get my turntable. I wasn't expecting much from the sound since it came from the turntable it's self but was going to hook it up to my Bose anyway. The sound was actually not bad, but what I was dissapointed in was the belt that turns the record. It kept breaking off. I ended up having to return it.
Summary: Great record player in all ways except that even at 33 rpm, it plays just barely too fast, affecting the sound (makes it high-pitched) just enough to notice and drive you insane. Maybe it was just my machine, but I wanted to hear my favorite records and was unable to enjoy them.
Pros: Easy Controls, Good Sound Quality, Great sound, Lightweight, Powerful, Speaker Volume Clarity
Summary: I have been collecting vinyl for over 10 years now and been asking for a serious turntable for a long time. THIS IS NOT IT. It looks cool, for sure, but what it has in style it lacks in quality. The sound is incredibly tinny and you by necessity will have to buy high quality speakers to make up for its cheapness in sound. All the parts are flimsy plastic, I could snap the tone arm in half. If you want to enjoy your records, shell out and get something better.
Summary: This turntable is amazing. I bought it as a birthday gift and he absolutely loved it. Very sleek look to it looks way more expensive than it is. Very quick to set up and very easy to use. Great sound for the set but of course connecting it to speakers is even better. Have used it almost daily since purchasing it a month ago. A must have for the vinyl lover you know.
Summary: [...] I decided to take a chance anyway since turntables were hard to find the week before Christmas. The plastic cover broke right out of the box. We tried to glue it, but it broke again. The sound was okay but wouldn't go very loud. There was an input for better speakers. We finally had to return it to our local Target because the lid would not stay open while a record was being played.
