Summary: I bought this record player for my classroom. It is used everyday, on loud, by adults and kids. It has a great sound, is easy to used, was ready out of the box and is compact and sturdy. I am 100% pleased with this product and would not hesitate to purchase another.
Summary: Very nice, clean and sleek looking for any room in the house. We had a lot of albums from back in the 60's and 70's that were just collecting dust. We also have a lot of cassettes. This is so perfect I can't describe.
Summary: Plugged it in and poof. Nothing - return was an easy process. If you give it as a gift test it first. Got it to give as gift. They wanted something that would record tapes and LP's to the computer (MAC). For what it is I am sure it is okay. The price is good for what it does. I would not buy one for myself but that is just me. The receiver of the gift, however , is quite happy with it.
Summary: My product was apparently damaged during shipping, so although the CD player, cassette player, and AM/FM radio worked perfectly fine, the turntable itself would not spin. I contacted Amazon about it and they immediately shipped a brand new product that is due to arrive two days from now, they even paid for shipping the broken product back! The sound for the cassette and cd-player was great, although I can't comment on the record player's sound yet.
Summary: Bought this for my mom as a mother's day gift. Opened it up on mothers day to have it ready when she got home and was so upset because the turntable does not work. Poorly constructed to say the least.
Excerpt: I'm trying very hard to record vinyl records and was successful with recording a 78 rpm but tried a 45 and the equipment failed using the same parameters as I did with the 78. I find audacity software very difficult to use and the lack of plug and play software innovation from B&H lacking. Also, I am unable to pick up FM or AM radio signals with this unit.
Summary: This thing has its ups and downs. It's a nice looking unit, and it's very compact. I also like that it has fast-forward and rewind for the tape player, which not all of these types of units have. I've never tried to record anything from it, so I can't say how well that works, but overall it seems to work pretty well as a player. There are a couple issues, though. Firstly, the sound is pretty bad; the speakers have virtually no bass, making everything sound really tinny.
