Summary: so Ive never owned a record player and was confused when this arrived and 2 out of the 5 vinyls I also ordered skipped... was it the player was it the vinyl??? Amazon was great about sending replacement vinyls, but they still skipped. Retrovisions has been difficult to deal with for the return, but Amazon again came through on that - and finally sent me a new player. The new one also skipps the same vinyls !
Summary: My product was apparently damaged during shipping, so although the CD player, cassette player, and AM/FM radio worked perfectly fine, the turntable itself would not spin. I contacted Amazon about it and they immediately shipped a brand new product that is due to arrive two days from now, they even paid for shipping the broken product back! The sound for the cassette and cd-player was great, although I can't comment on the record player's sound yet.
Summary: This thing has its ups and downs. It's a nice looking unit, and it's very compact. I also like that it has fast-forward and rewind for the tape player, which not all of these types of units have. I've never tried to record anything from it, so I can't say how well that works, but overall it seems to work pretty well as a player. There are a couple issues, though. Firstly, the sound is pretty bad; the speakers have virtually no bass, making everything sound really tinny.
Summary: It arrived today. I am very happy with it. Of course it doesn't have a digital display for the radio--it is meant to look and feel retro. The only thing that confused me is there seems to be a 15 second delay before the record player comes on. I think it gives you time to adjust the speed, which takes 33/45/78's. I'm okay with that now. I'll agree that the select button does feel cheap. Don't know how long that will last.
Summary: Just opened the box and hooked up all connections to my Crosley Archiver USB Turntable CR6001A. I needed to transfer some 45RPM records to a CD so I put a test record on the turntable and boy! Was I disappointed. The turntable would speed up and slow down, over and over, the music sounded horrible. I tried an LP record with the same results. The turntable sounded like it was dragging as it made its turns.
Summary: Works great right out of the box, very well packed.Speaker sound is great ,I dont play it loud.My late wife had a record collection of 300. Its a lot of pleasure to hear the quality of vinyl over cd's. The controls are simple once you get used to the different selections. This is a simple machine to operate and hopefully gives me years of pleasure. It also looks great.
Summary: This is my favorite. I've been around, or have seen the other models but, this has the cleanest look. I'm talking about the Archiver paprika with black panels model. The red LED display only turns on when the function is set to CD. Think of this as a piece of decorative furniture that can play music from multiple sources. I say this because, it would be ridiculous to compare this to an Onkyo component system. That said, I like what this can do.
