Summary: I really wanted this combo oven/toaster. I am very disappointed because the toaster portion toasts bread very inconsistently. It hardly toasts, so I turn the darkness setting a little bit darker, and then it burns the toast. Very very frustrating when you have young children waiting impatiently for a piece of toast. There were several negative comments on the reviews, and I wish I had heeded the reviewer's warnings before spending the money on this.
Summary: The latch to keep the bread down in the toaster broke after three months. I contacted Waring customer service via email from their website. It took them more than a week to respond. In the meantime, I drove more than an hour to the closest authorized service center to get it fixed. That was a month ago. I called the service center today and they said they have ordered the replacement part but it hasn't arrived.
Correct oven part never received but charged for it.

Summary: The oven part is great. The toaster part is not. Hard to get toast just right. As for the construction, the little black foot seen on the front of the oven broke off. I tried several times to get a replacement part. Was sent the wrong part and charged for it. I returned it and was given only a few dollars back even though I never got the correct part. Won't shop Waring anymore.
Summary: The toaster side has a problem with the lever that lowers the bread into the toaster. It just stops working. Waring has replaced it twice, but now says that our warranty has expired - shouldn't we have started over with a new warranty every time they sent us a new unit?
Summary: I have had two of these. The only nice things I can say are: it looks nice and the oven may work correctly. Why have I had 2? Because the toaster section in the 1st one stopped working after 4 weeks and Amazon sent me a replacement. The toaster in the replacement whined from day 1. I thought it would stop. It didn't so I finally looked into the toaster tonight. Lo and behold, only about 50% of the elements were glowing red.
Summary: I'd rate this a 5 for toasting and baking but only a two on the broiling. The oven I find works great, I have baked a meatloaf in an average sized loaf pan, cinnamon rolls in a round glass pan and sheperd's pie in a loaf pan and all cooked fine and didn't take much longer than a conventional oven (and certainly saves on electricity!).
Summary: I have had other toaster ovens and this one is too complicated. Too many dials to set to just a simple task. The good part is that if the timer goes off (which it has to be set for the oven to work) then the oven shuts off....in some cases that is a good thing. The tray that comes with it does not fit in the oven width-wise....just long wise which does not utilize the size of the oven.
