Summary: This was advertised as being able to make toast, and bagels. It does bagels just fine, but it will not toast a piece of Sara Lee Multi Grain bread. You have to put the bread in, crust side up, and it only toast 3/4 of the bread.I will use it for bagels, but not good for toast.
Summary: After having suffered from another cheap toaster's penchant for burning bread, I am pleased with this one's ability to produce beautifully browned toast and bagels. I don't understand why the designer rejected the box shape, making it wider at the top than at the base. No advantage is gained by this design, and about an inch more of counter space is required because of it.
Summary: Broken! Inoperable, horrible piece of junk. Didn't work at all when received. Now I begin the return process and hope to get my money back. Previous experience with Overstock has been excellent.
Summary: We were disappointed for many reasons. (1) When the toast pops-up, it is virtually soundless. If you are not watching-over the toaster when it pops-up. the toast sets there, getting cold. (2) the spring mechanism is so weak it is difficult to tell it it has actually popped-up or not. Combined with the first problem you end-up with a lot of cold toast. (3) The "bagel" setting burned the bagel so bad it was uneatable.
