  • Excerpt: One day my Tefal Two Slot Avanti Toaster stopped working, so I had to buy a replacement. As I had some Lovetoshop vouchers that I can use in Comet, I decided to visit my local Comet to see what I can get. In their toaster area the Philips two slot toaster caught my eye. About Philips: Philips is a commonly known name for Royal Philips Electronics. It was founded by Gerard Philips and his father in Netherlands in 1891.

Does its job but you can get better for same price

  • Excerpt: The HD2566 does its job - it toasts bread - but other than that is a disappointed and can't say that I would go for a Philips product so open minded as I did. I have had Philips toasters before. This product really has a cheep feel to it. This machine burns my toast on level 2 if a toast it a second time half way through. Level 2 should be just touching a slit tan.

Good little toaster with a few hitches.

  • Excerpt: Toast is a very friendly thing, hot and crunchy and ready almost instantly, I have never met any one who didn´t like toast so if you are looking for a cheap and cheerful toaster consider this Philips two slice with extra wide slots. This is a great little toaster which we have been using for about three years. It is in the more economical end of the market at about 25pounds and would be ideal for just about anyone on a budget.

Philips HD2566/10

  • Excerpt: Going on a budget with a brand I trust: Philips HD2566/10 Sometimes you just don't have a lot of money and you still want to buy nice things. I'm always looking for new things and my money is often gone before I realise it. Then I come to the point that I need to buy something that I almost use every day and decide that I don't want to spend a lot of money. I had this with buying a toaster.

Only looks good!

Amrapali Chatt..., flipkart.com

  • Summary: Good looks, good dust cover but the performance is NOT good at all! 1) Uneven toasting, despite trying all the settings I have not been able to get proper toast. 2) The toast does not pop out completely so is very difficult to take it out, you either use something to pull it out or upturn the toaster. Not a happy situation!

How I bought my Toaster ?

RK Dhanvada, flipkart.com
23 July 2010
  • Summary: My first toaster was a Braun one . A small compact one . It was nowhere available in Store and eStores also. When I go to street shops, they push the model and brand of their choice. Then moving from shop to shop is not my way of patience. I started at Flipkart and the choice range was so huge that more confusion started. Hence started with customer's review. Got more confused in the perhaps even to the one that I would have bought .
