Summary: I purchased my first toaster oven in 1970 - a Toastmaster. I loved it, but alas it died (after 20+ years of regular use). It was replaced with a traditional Rowenta Toaster - fine, but I missed the ablity to bake and broil without heating up the huge oven. We then tried the Longhi (?spelling) - BIG mistake. Toast took FOREVER! and was not worth the wait (irregular surface toasting). Nothing it did made the negatives worth putting up with. Then we purchaced the Krups.
Pros: It's gorgeous, versatile, fast, and efficient.
Summary: This is an expensive but excellent coffee maker. My husband is a coffee fanatic and is very particular about his coffee. This particular coffee maker brews coffee very quickly and it brews right into the thermos. You can have a cup 1 - 2 hours later and it tastes just as fresh as the moment you made it.
Pros: Coffee never tastes bitter, brews very quickly and stays hot
Summary: It does the trick when it comes to blending. And the name behind the blender is a sure thing. I've enjoyed using many Krups products over the years, and the blender follows true to form. Dependable. I've had it for over 3 years now and have not had any problems whatsoever.
Summary: buy second hand, but rinse your used coffee maker out with 3-1 parts of water and vinegar--brew this mixture at least three times like you would your coffee, use the gold filter for a superior taste...this coffee maker is very durable..I bought it second hand and it didn't have scratches, worked like brand new money...so don't fret because it is second hand...I paid 3.00 for a 30.00 coffee maker....
Pros: quick and easy to use
Cons: hard to find gold filters, at a reasonable price
