Summary: This is our second Kitchen Aid toaster, the first 10 years old. Fantastic product! Just wanted a different color from white. Gave old toaster to neighbor's boy getting married. We single side toast bagels (great for flavored cream cheese), single side toast bread for gourmet sandwiches and chip beef on toast. Very versitle toaster and problem free for over 10 years.
Pros: Easy To Clean, Even Heating, Excellent Heating, Lots of Room, Precise Controls, Versatile
Summary: Completely thrilled with Kitchenaid 2-Slice Toaster. The description of the toaster was accurate- weight, size, material, features and functions. Toasts whole wheat bread and bagels perfectly. Easy to clean. Highly recommend.
Summary: The toaster is a nice looking appliance on our granite counter top. My only problem is that to get the toast to look like toast you have to have the dial placed on the max position. Didn't toast English Muffins very well and I don't eat bagels so I can't comment on that. Usually Kitchen Aid appliances are really good but I am a little disappointed in this toaster.
Summary: This is a wonderful product in almost every respect. It's attractive, well made, the casing doesn't get hot when in use and you don't need an extension cord if your electric outlet isn't exactly where you want to keep it. It's also easy to clean and the bagel mode is one of those simple innovations that make you wonder why someone didn't think of it sooner. KitchenAid would have a fantastic product here if it weren't for one fatal flaw.
Summary: Amazon Verified Purchase ( What's this? ) I just found the Kitchenaid KTT340 to be somewhat disappointing and I usually don't with Kitchenaid products or from products that receive good Amazon customer reviews. In this case, it's just not a very good toaster, and usually requires one and a half tries before the toast comes out medium. For me, with the lighter/darker knob turned to darker, it comes out on the light side.
Summary: We liked this toaster very much to start with, but then after 3 months it has stopped popping up reliably. You can't walk away from it, but have to watch it closely to make sure that this time it isn't going to just stay down and carbonize your toast. Far less reliable than I had hoped for from kitchenaid!
Summary: Takes two cycles to get bread toasted. Maybe because it is really meant for Bagels? The magnetic "latch" just stopped latching after a months use. It is useless now because the latch doesn't latch to hold the bread down. I expected better of KitchenAid.
Summary: Toaster performs as advertised, toast is evenly done with Bagels and English Muffins just perfect. My only complaint is that I expected a toaster of this quality to be much faster than this unit performs.
Summary: Recently abused my eight-year old, four-slice Kitchen Aid toaster by shaking it up too vigorously in my attempt to get rid of the crumb accumulation. After its cleaning, it had problems and eventually gave up its spirit-much to my dismay for I really loved it. Have the matching red Kitchen Aid mixer and food processor and this toaster was so perfect. Was happy to find that I could get another one, albeit another model. Must say, the KTT340 is great!
