Very slow and doesn't toast bagels or English muffins very well.

Summary: I bought this toaster to replace an older black plastic Cusinart 4-slice toaster. I had high hopes that this newer model would toast bread, bagels and English muffins well. I agree with many of the other reviews; this is a very slow toaster. Using setting 3, it toasts toast OK. Using setting of 4 or 5, bagels and English muffins are hardly toasted and they are nearly cold, following the instructions correctly.
Excerpt: Toaster is used by each family member. The greatest thing about it is the ability to differentiate two toast settings and even toast bread and bagels at the same time. No more waiting in line for your turn to toast in a family of 3.
Pros: Delicious Bread, Easy To Clean, Easy To Use, Simple Settings
Summary: This toaster was bought for me, and it is the worst I have ever owned. My previous toaster lasted me 7 years before it had needed to be replaced but even at its worst is better than this at its best. *You must push very hard several times to get it to drop your toast. It is not just mine, as I have a friend with one and you must do the same thing. *Shade 1 burns everything if you don't watch it and pop it up on your own. It doesn't turn down any lower than that!
Excerpt: Use daily for bagles and Toaster Strudles. Love that it toasts consistantly every time. Don't like that there's no way to shut off the beeper that tells when the slot will pop up. Slots are hard to push down and eventully will not stay down at all. The toaster I have is the replacement for the first toaster that had the same issues with the slots not staying down.
Cons: Lever Does Not Stay Down, Levers Do Not Stay Down
